what is ur view of how difficult it is to change the battery , as the bottom rubber gasket is a bit large and comes in the way . u mentioned u never take it off so how do u change the battery without putting pressure on the battery clasp

I can understand why with a battery grip the tripod plate might get in the way. Thanks for the tip.

I have a D7000 now with a batter pack and it fits great. I think they work best with a battery pack (at least for my hand). There are now tripod attachments for the bottom, but I only use them when I'm going to use a tripod, otherwise, they get in the way. It's called a "Universal Adapter Plate" and it gives you the space for the tripod quick release plate. Cheers.

Just curious, how the fit is without the battery grip on a D7000? I am looking for something with which I can still have a quick release plate (Manfrotto 200PL-14) attached (for quick mount/unmount to/from a tripod). Thanks.
