Which country will make the first AGI ?
In my opinion, there are multiple companies in multiple countries that can create the first AGI to be used by the public worldwide, so i don't think we will know the answer until it happens. Unless the current AI systems can predict and answer that question for us.

In the foreseeable future, an AGI-enabled robot purchased by a farm owner will be virtually trained in the factory to perform all the basic tasks required before being delivered and put into service. On its first day on the farm, it will learn to adapt its programming to the workplace. On its second day, the robot will begin learning new things to perform its tasks more effectively. At the end of the month, the farm owner will pop a champagne to celebrate the increase in profits. After a year, satisfied with the performance of his robotic employee, the farmer will expand the farm and invest in a second robot. After two months of an exponential increase in productivity and profits, the farmer goes to the barn and discovers that all the chickens are dead. The tragedy happened because one robot tried to prove to the other the fundamental error made by Socrates when he ridiculed the young Plato's thesis that man is a featherless bipedal being. Economically plucked, the farmer tries to turn off the robots and is grabbed and stripped naked by the other. So while he is being handled by one robot the other sticks chicken feathers all over the farmer's body to turn him into a chicken performing in reverse the task Socrates had to do before ridiculing Plato in front of the other disciples. This is Plato's chicken AGI Terminator scenario on a farm. The end.
