Well akchually..... Quick point, also the words of someone who had to work with them, the class 29's were actually pretty decent machines. They were comfy, warm (important in Scotland), had an excellent view from the cab, were superbly smooth running, as reliable as any other type 2 of the era, and had a bit more "grunt" than a 27. The thing that killed them off was there were so few of them.
