Creating a solo over "Superstition"

Let's take a look at creating a solo over a classic tune which has no guitar solo in it. This can be tricky. Some choose to just "Blaze" over it and some choose to be more "Melodic" with it. Check out the vid and hopefully you get some cool ideas to work with in your own solo. @@ianw.9185 I don’t see the resemblance….at all? 🤣
Dude.. that was awesome... thank you so much for doing this. I recently discovered this song while listening to Yacht Rock on Sirius and was blown away at the Marimba solo.. I instantly pivoted to thinking.. wow.. its up to Paul Gilbert to bring this to the guitar.. and you did it.. yesss.. so awesome... Can you finish the break with the keyboards before they go into the chorus again? That would sound great with a whaa whaa pedal or volume swells.
Thanks ! I really love this tune. Glad you liked it
Sounds great buddy!
@@therealkevinmcnally gracias amigo!
Few people understand that the first three Plant solo albums and Robbie Blunt's astounding work on them are truly there at the very Top in modern Musical History as being the most Highly Sophisticated and Exquisitely performed and produced works of High Art that has ever graced mankind. I dare say that the Phenomenal Quality of Robbie's compositions and talent displayed on those records is Supernatural in its extreme Excellence and jaw dropping Brilliance. The superbly gifted Doug Boyle managed to carry the Torch very impressively indeed though!
Kingdom Come riff! Nice. I have this same pedal, and I love it as well. Thanks for showing off this underrated pedal.
@@4stringkingstf yea buddy! I really dig this pedal and Kingdom Come. 🤘🤘
Great sounding pedal. Love your Kim Mitchell 'Go for a Soda' riff. Cheers
Thanks! Love Mitchell.
How does this compare and contrast to the Wampler Gearbox?
Man there are two overdrive/distortion pedals I use and the Wampler is the other. I love the Gearbox and it’s very comparable to the Sweet Tea. The one thing it has that the Sweet Tea does not have is the Noise Gate. Now as you hear in this vid there is minimal amount of noise when both sides are engaged on the Sweat Tea, but I’m not on a stage and not under stage lights or questionable electricity. When that type situation comes into play it’s nice to have the noise gate on the Wampler to combat the unwanted noise. If you have a gate on your board already then you’re covered either way. Both are great pedals.
The V3 adds the switch to switch the order of the Angry Charlie and Moonshine. I have the V3 of the similar double barrel. I think I like yours better though 😂
@@chadabeebe nice. I’d like to check one of these out. I do love this one so I guess if it’s not broke why try to fix it right?

@ it’s an edge of breakup pedal for me. It makes a pekid sounding amp sound like it’s working. It cleans up nicely when you roll down the volume.
