Is there any opportunity to become a CTR and work in the field on a voluntary basis?

I am a school teacher and looking for a career change with minimum training. I am a single mom working full time, so doing an unpaid practicum doesn't seem feasible for me. Is there a way to get into this without having to quit my job.

There must be an option for patients to opt out of this mass surveillance.

This is an outrageous breach of patient trust and amounts to lifetime stalking of the patient by the health care system. Patients who never consented to be surveilled also have no opt opt mechanism. These programs need significant regulatory overhaul to protect patient rights.

Two questions - What recommendations do you have CTR Eligible person with no medical background? I also volunteer at a hospital. Is their jobs that are just researchers? I have extensive researching background through death records doing family history research and was just curious.

I am considering enrolling into an Associates Degree program in Cancer Registry. I am currently watching this video and wondering if there are any programs that allow CTRs to obtain CEUs by servicing as a mentor? That would be a great program to put in place if this does not exist currently.
