"Handel was a bad composer"
Handel's music is often underestimated in my opinion, especially when it comes to emotional depth. This beautiful and quite well-known piece demonstrates that he also composed emotional works.

Minecraft nostalgia :(
I like mozart best and I also like händel
I love all
8:09 ... Or you know about him from Liszt's Campanella
Brahms, Bruckner and Schoenberg (but the Schoenberg’s description does not apply!! 😡 he was a brilliant tonal composer)
What about Gioacchino Rossini? :)
Barber, but no Britten? Respighi, but no Britten???
1:38 I can
Another for Hindemith - You are either an engineering student, an actual engineer, or want to be an engineering student!
Rossini: You really like jokes, food and women
What are the names of the paintings?
2:56 finally a good description of Rachmaninoff's music
WHERE is Aaron Copland!!!!!!
These are funny!!! Only 2 comments: 1) The Haydn comment is off, by quite a bit. He was Austrian through and through and spent some of his best years in London. That some Germans adopted one of his quartet themes has nothing to do with him(!), he's about as far from Wagner as a "nationalist' composer as it's possible to get for two guys speaking the same languange, and 2) Hindemith is NOBODY'S favorite composer! Absolutely no one. Guaranteed! Thanks :)
Yes, I am a fan of Liszt. And, I have all these plans and dreams, that one day I will play some Liszt on the piano and get it right. I might start with "Years of Pilgrimage" Book I, then move on to Book 2, then La Campanella. But my plan remains in the prepatory stage.!
John Dowland and John Johnson lute music
as a holst enjoyer who listens to "jupiter: the bringer of jollity" on a daily basis, that is painfully accurate and i'm going to look into his other works right now lol
Tchaikovsky: You are gay (Just kidding, but no actually
Strange choices; Lalo and Clara Schumann very minor composers, but no Nielsen, Britten or Vaughan Williams?
BORODIN AND SATIE MENTIONED ‼️
At Mendelssohn, its not right. Im very funny and people dont find me boring. Ps I love Mendelssohns virtuos and more classical pieces very much.
And we forgot Rossini!!
What’s the Sibelius and Dvorak piece?!?!?
Bull Schieße, First suite in Eb all movements are great (third movement is best) and Second Suite in F is his greatest work ever. (Sorry I am a devoted ahh Gustav Holst fan)
Buzet - Symphony in Ut?
somehow, I thought that meant quotes from the composers regarding the people who listen to their music💀
A huge fan of Beethoven and Mahler.
when R. Shumann appeard, what is the name of the painting right next to him?????????????????????????
Satie: It might be the end of the world soon
Rachmaninoff’s one is very true
By my username, I probably don't have to say who my favourite composer is. And yes I do think it is the best instument!
6:14 I wasn't ready for that LMAO
harry partch : No.
Somebody is missing... There is NO ONE like Telemann - you just can't ever get enough
Why would someone whose actual favourite composer is Holst only be basing it off of The Planets, y'all are just assuming whoever watches this knows as little about the music as you do (the guy has so many hidden gems it's incredible seriously go listen to the Hymn of Jesus)
Every time I watch these I feel backhanded for being a Wagner fan. But, I do love film music. An original score is often the only reason I find a movie enjoyable.
John williams is not here
It’s amazing how the more you listen the more people become you’re favorites. (Shostakovich -> Saint-Seans -> Debussy -> Chopin -> Tchaikovsky -> Bizet -> Cherubini -> Monti -> Verdi -> Mozart -> Beethoven and now, MOST underrated: Mendelssohn
I luv Scarlatti
3:50 dvorak has gotta be a composer nobody could hate
As a Mussorgsky enjoyer, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
My favorite is Prokofiev and I don't like ballets or at least not in their entirety
yeah, i’m not that much of a prokofiev fan but i like his sonatas, concertos, quartets, and symphonies, the only ballet by him i’ve ever heard of is Romeo And Juliet tho
Debussy for the win !
Love Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky
Satie's composition in the video Gymnopedie No. 1 (1888) kinda sounds like if Clair de lune (1890) had another part so i assumed that he was another impressionist composer, but in my research, it was said that Erik Satie's music "opposed" impressionism despite sounding like it. His only connection to Claude Debussy was only because they were close friends. Not to make conflicts or anything but did some "bro can i copy your homework?" occur? and one said "Yeah but change it up so the teacher don't get us caught" or is it maybe a french thing? and if so, who copied who? They both have different release date but, who copied whoo?🤔 Might also be unfair since Debussy got more popular because of Clair de lune than his composition despite kinda sounding the same (I might low-key be biased since Debussy is my favourite but...yeah. Is this similarity already mentioned? if yes then maybe im late to the party😌) Idk y'all im kinda stupid
Gymnopedie does sound similar to impressionism, but i guess it’s not because it isn’t inspired by the arts (like debussy.)
Debussy's a lot more complex than Satie though, no? I mean Debussy's super expressive and sort of lush and vibrant, but Satie's whole vibe is stripped down, kind of intentionally emotionally flat - though I suppose he's still operating in a similar harmonic language to the other French composers of the period (and from what I understand that harmonic language was really invented by Debussy via the Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune) Also impressionism in music didn't have much to do with the visual arts, Debussy & Ravel didn't really like the label they just happened to also be French and working in a new style I guess
Oh my god Debussy is so accurate😭🙏
Wieniawski - you're violinist, who loves play emotional and aggressive
There was no Toby Fox, what?!? =O Seriously though, I’m starting to forget how much I really love classical music, and I love it a lot.
as a debussy enthusiast i live and dream in pure delusion
What's the recording used for the Handel piece? All the ones I've found have been different
Stockhausen: you're a cool guy
