FLSun S1 over 110mm3/s with Elegoo Rapid PETG. The loud noise at the end is the stepper motor stopping. It may need more amperage to push past 120mm3/s. This filament is amazing
FLSun s1 over 100mm3/s Flow Rate with Bambu Lab PLA/ .8mm CHT nozzle.
Переглядів 2764 місяці тому
100mm3/s seems to be the max flow rate with the .8 cht nozzle. Before it misses steps. I tried 140c this run, but 130c did just as good. I have a feeling that if I drilled out the "CHT style" internals of the aluminum heat break, it would go faster. Also some better filament.
How to silence the FLSun S1 3D printer
Переглядів 9754 місяці тому
I explain how to make the FLSun S1 print at the same volume level as an X1 Carbon. Its even more silent with the filament dryer door closed. As an added bonus, the filament dryer gets even warmer now. The part inside the chimney is an flsun design that comes preloaded on the S1 printers. It looks like a Christmas tree. Have your chamber temps increased since adding the insulation? It would be great if it did...
@@KapmansBasementWorkshop I returned the printer
What a fuckin loser
Awesome will try a .08 on my V400 to print out an enclosure. Could you share your 0.8 profile so I can dial it down. Do you use Flsun slicer, Orca or Cura? Thanks for the interesting video.
@@tjcarr70 I returned the printer, but for the profile, I just copied a bambu profile. For line widths, just add .4 to each one. For height, it's up to you. Make sure to rerun flow and pa calibrations for the larger nozzle
@@jessie38supercharged Thankyou for the reply. I can print PLA okay, but PETG is a nighmare with the 0.8 nozzle. Just cannot get a good first layer :( Tried .4mm and .2mm layer height with all other settings set to 0 for Orca to sort out. Tried variantions of 0.8mm upto 1.05mm on the infill and walls, but just wasted fillament :( Using Tinmorry PETG ECO. This prints find with 0.4mm default FLSUN nozzle. So strange. Also tried upping and lowing the temperatures and using glue on the bed.
@tjcarr70 Have you checked all the screws in the arms? And set screws in the steppers. Stuff on these printers like yo loosen up. I figured oit fast, that Delta printers are trash. No matter what, you'll have 3 high point in the bed mesh because if the 3 arms design. Sorry I see that its fine with pla. It's just weird that it's the first layer. Make sure you aren't just doubling line widths. only add .02-.04 to the nozzle width. So for .8, set lines between 8.02 and 8.04. Maybe .85 for infill lines.
I swapped out the power supply and now this is twice as fast. Full spool in under a minute.
This is as useless as your mom.
My understanding is that the value shown on the dashboard is the max requested flow rate. You're saying that when you hovered over the flow rate, it shows 135 in this test, right?
@DMNewell And when measuring with a caliper. The only one thats not accurate is the preloaded test made by flsun because they turned down accelerations. This test was done with orcas test
Beautifull color that green! 😊
@rockels_journals It's bambu lab pla carbon fiber For the rewinder parts. Polymaker army green ASA on the spool itself
@@jessie38supercharged Thanks for letting me know! Looks beautiful! :)
@@rockels_journals Whoops. If you meant the green filament on the spool, it's polymaker army green asa. They also make a nice army brown.
@@jessie38supercharged Well I actually like both hahaha. The filament on the spool and the green of the unwinding frame and tube guide 👍
My S1 will arrive next week and I will try
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing, I will also try it on my S1
nice. i think you can go higher. I got 78mm^3/s with stock v400 nozzle, petg @ 305c. If you can keep the flow high it wont burn. Near the max flow rate, decreasing extruder acceleration to around 10mm^2/s helped get the last bit of flow rate without breaking the filament. The actual limit on the v400 is the hotend, it cant maintain 315 at such flow rate.
@VoluntaristSociety I think youre right. I think I also need to run the fan higher. In this video, it's at 50%
Excuse my ignorance, what type or brand of nozzle have you used, I have never changed one in the printers I have had. I want to do tests on my S1 also with .1 and .8, thanks and good job!
@nosqhon Any v6 nozzle works. The nozzle I used jn this video was www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CQLZLCW6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Really impressive 😍😍 I love this printer
Nice job. Several reviewers were saying the flow rate was a marketing lie.. incompetence or bambu shills?
@VoluntaristSociety Depends on how you look at it. As it comes, out of the box, it can't hit 110mm3/s. Just like the bambu can't actually hit its advertised flow rate. But they can both max out at there advertised flow rates when using aftermarket nozzles. 35ish for the bambu with a revo nozzle or 110 on the s1 wigh a cht nozzle. Kinda like how they both advertise travel speeds as actual print speed. But yes, the bambu bros are relentless. They will fan boy to the death. I also have 3 bambus and 8 ams units and hate spending any time on the bambu forums.
@@jessie38supercharged Wait you switched nozzle here? I didn't realize somehow lol. I see the title now. I was able to get 65mm^3/s out of the stock v400 with regular white petg. (comes with cht) So i definitely expected the s1 to do better.
@VoluntaristSociety The S1 comes with a heat break with 3 tips in it. Doesn't really split the path but kinda scrapes into the filament
A great demonstration. Congratulations on the good content 👌
Zoom in if needed. I do show the actual print throughout the video. I shot it from beginning to end so that nobody called fake news on me. When E3d makes revo nozzles for the s1, we will be able to go even faster. Maybe 3x the flow of the x1 carbon with an obxidian nozzle or cht conversion on the bambu. The first layer was put down at the max flow rate of the obxidian bambu nozzle.
Do you happen to have links to the foam and dynamat you used? I want to make sure I get the right stuff. Good work here!

that is an awesome truck man, NICE build. it's different, I like it. and for all the assholes talking about 'white trash'- that truck cost more to build them your last paycheck, most likely.

HAHA! That's awesome! Looks like an e-maxx drivetrain? sounds like one mamba would do the trick for this truck, but nice creation! Never thought to shoehorn RC bits into Kinex!
