I moved in with my grandpa after my grandma died. I hated it, I hated having to live in a room I wasn’t allowed to to customize. I didn’t like his dogs, they barked too much and were so demanding. In February I lost it all, my own dog and my grandpas two dogs, my house and all my belongings to a house fire. Now I’d give anything to get it back. So I’m sitting here, screen recording this song for an edit, and my grandpas new dog comes running down the stairs to play fetch with me. And with the song playing and the way he was so excited, I teared up thinking of all the love I could have given to my grandpas late dogs. So I played with him, and he got all happy, then my dad was telling me about his set up in Fortnite and how he defeated a boss. And it’s such a usual thing, but yet with the nostalgic feeling of the song and the things I’ve been through, it was such an ethereal moment for me.
