Metal6000 - Keith Kenny

Here's the backstory:
About 25 years ago, I recorded an 8 song heavy metal album in my bedroom called "Next in Line" on a 4-track. I didn't know anything about recording or producing music but I knew how to write parts and arrange songs. What came out of that bedroom was a lo-fi homage to all of my favorite bands at the time... Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Slayer, Ozzy, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. The recordings were plagued with tape hiss and timing issues but the songs were pretty killer. If we went to the same high school you might even have one of the copies I pressed to CD. There were probably only 50 or so that ever existed.
The high school goal was to find a great lineup of musicians to play these songs live but there were a lot of hurdles. I graduated in a class of about 200 kids so there were slim pickins' to meet like-minded metal head musicians. I was also too timid to step up to the microphone and sing. Hey, I'm not making excuses here... I just couldn't get it together.
As the years went by, I found myself becoming more influenced by troubadours like Michael Hedges, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Keller Williams, and the one-man band thing just started to happen for me. It was easier to navigate my musical future as a solo artist and my heavy metal dreams were left in the lurch. I'd talk to old friends from high school and they'd ask "When are you going to play heavy metal again?" sigh...
Well the day has come my friend!
