Why can’t they hear Jesus when he speaks?: How is it possible to say Jesus is God when Jesus said no one has heard God’s voice at _anytime_ (John 5:37)? It is clear Satan is truly at work, causing man to call our Lord and Savior a liar. In Hebrew, God’s word is “distomos” (δίστομος), which means two-edged or two-mouthed. Jesus tells us we will not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds the mouth of God through himself (Matthew 4:4). Jesus proves this over and over again by saying “for I have not spoken of myself” and “the Father has sent me” (John 12:48-50, John 8:28, John 5:17, John 5:30, etc). No man will ever hear God’s voice in this world, only Jesus’ voice has been heard. Everyone must know when Jesus speaks he is never alone, for the Father is with him in spirit (John 8:29). Jesus tells us only those with the Holy Spirit can receive these things (John 14:26). If we do not have the mind of Christ, who has the mind of God, they will reject you (Matthew 7:21-23). Receive God’s Holy Spirit and receive the deep and unspoken things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10-16). Amen.

Just signing in and found you on my front page. Strange you would be talking on children. We just finished VBS. I was asked to help for the first time in my life. I felt obligated since I had given a devotional on the book I had just finished. In additional to that I had just finished setting up the alter program on soul winning. No one wants to be involved. Mainly because they are scared and really don't know how. The new preacher we have asked the workers to have a seat on the steps. The children were asked to go to a worker. A little girl 11 yrs old came to me. I started my soul winning routine. The preacher wants us to start with why are you coming. Children have different answers than adults. We have to direct them back to salvation and Jesus. I gave her the Salvation events and directed her thru the prayer. I always use a new Bible all marked and with expatiation of the verses as well. I then turn to the front of the Bible and fill out the ReBirth Certification date and name go there. They now have a Bible of their own to go home with to read again and show a family member what they have done. Hopefully we will end with a hole family in church. I'm slowly trying to get the adults to use this same program. The preacher has given me his full support. Still so much work to be done. I found New Testament Bibles in King James Version $1.25 at Dollar Tree.. If I have to spend that a week for a soul in heaven, so be it. Not too much for Jesus. Why We Must Be Born Again The Way Back To Pentecost When Jesus told Nicodemus, except a man or person be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. St. John 3:5, he was telling him who needed to do it. Now, watch it. Matthew told what to do, Mark told why to do it, Luke told where to do it and John told who to do it. What’s missing? Didn’t nobody tell how to do it, until the great day called Pentecost when Peter stood up to preach. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 KJV What to do? - repent and be baptized. Who? - everyone of you. How do we do it? - in the name of Jesus Christ. Why do it? for the remission of sins. What’s the result of doing it? - and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Jews did it. Look at the 8th Chapter of Acts, verse 4, “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the Word.” Verse 5 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.” Verse 12, “But when they believed Phillip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.” 14. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15. Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16. (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Acts 8:14-16. In Acts 2, the Jews did it. In Acts 8, the half Jews did it. In Acts 10, the Gentiles did it and in Acts 19, the Baptist folks did it. They all did it because God said that’s the only way to do it. Of the 66 books in the entire Bible, there’s only one that don’t fit in with any of the groups. That book is the book of Acts, because the book of Acts is the only book in the Bible that tells you how to get save. And, until Jesus Christ returns in the clouds to call his church away “1st Peter 2:9-10,” this gospel is to be preached by us to every nation and is still in force today till that great getting up morning when the dead in Christ shall rise first, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air, so shall we ever be with the lover of our souls. Will you be saved today, according to the Holy Scriptures? Acts 2:38 KJV is still in force today till God’s body, “the Bride of Christ is completed.”
Romans 10:9 The Most Abused Verse In The Bible. I want to challenge and remind you, reading this chapter, you have to handle the word of God properly! The Bible is a message from God not from us, and when we open the Bible to teach and preach we are dealing with God’s thoughts. Our job is to properly understand the text and then preach and teach what we understand. We can mess up every other book, but when it comes to the Bible we must get it right! People misunderstand the Bible for the same reason they misquote Shakespeare. They spend their time repeating what they heard somebody else say, but they have never really read the book or got proper understanding for themselves. I guess in most cases it’s ok to mess up Shakespeare because there is no eternal consequences. However, when you mishandle the Bible, you put yourself and the saints in a bad situation. The greatest danger in the world and in the church is the false prophet and the praise hustler. You know the ones who try to make the Bible sound like they want it to sound and say what they want it to say? While they are performing all of the pulpit gymnastics, nobody is getting any word. These praise hustlers run right past the Old Testament. They take off in the four gospels, jump completely over the book of Acts and land in Romans Chapter 10 verse 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. They take Romans 10:9, and tell you to believe on the Lord Jesus and you’ll be saved. I’ve got news for you, you’re not going to be saved until you get saved. If you forget everything you have read so far, don’t miss this. The book of Acts is the only book in the Bible that tells you how to actually be born again and receive Jesus. Accepting Christ as your personal savior is not in the Bible. You can accept something and get nothing, but anything you receive, you have it. The Bible doesn’t teach to accept Christ, it teaches to receive him. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12 KJV Romans 10:9 is not the plan of salvation, and the only way it could even sound related to the plan is when you take the whole passage out of context. False prophets have made a lot of people think that just because they confess (or admit) that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, they will somehow be “saved” and make the rapture. If you start reading at the beginning of the book, you see that the apostle Paul is deeply concerned with the Jews and whether “they” will be saved. Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. Romans 10:1 KJV In verse two Paul explains that they have a zeal, but something is missing. Their knowledge is incomplete because they are still trying to get to God through Moses and the law. Just like in the book of Galatians, Paul is trying to get the Jews to understand that they can’t be saved following the law and that because of Jesus they are not under the old covenant anymore. They follow their religious duties, traditions and sacrifices very well, but these things will not cover their sins. Paul wants them to know that they need the blood of Jesus! 2. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. All Paul is doing is defending the gospel and the reason that we preach it. He is also explaining why Israel has failed to come to Jesus. 3. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. Romans 10:3-4 KJV When you dislocate the scriptures, they don’t work! Romans 10:9 only says what most people think it says when you take it out of context. Remember when the disciples thought their boat was about to sink? They called out and said, “Master, save us!” And in Matthew chapter 14 when Peter was sinking, remember what he said to Jesus? But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. Peter and the apostles were not asking to be saved from sin; they needed deliverance from another, more immediate issue. They were asking to be saved from drowning. When you see the word “saved” in the Bible, it’s not always talking about being saved by the blood. Look at Romans 5:9-10: 9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:9-10 KJV Notice that Paul says that salvation from wrath can be obtained by people who are already saved. The Amplified Bible makes it a little plainer: Romans 5:9-10 (Amplified Bible) 9. Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ blood, how much more (certain is it that) we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. 10. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more (certain), now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His (resurrection) life. Just like in the above examples, Paul uses Romans, chapter 10 to say that Israel needs to be saved. They are very religious and devoted to the Law of Moses and to there rituals, but they are omitting the main thing when it comes to salvation, and the main thing is Jesus! Because of there misguided zeal, Paul is saying that they need to be delivered (saved) from their traditions and brought into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Paul was saying if the Jews want to be saved from sin, they must first get saved from their old ways of thinking and their traditions. The book of Romans was written to a group that was already saved, but written about a group that needed to get saved. The Jews needed to first get saved from their traditions, so they could then get saved from their sin. Romans 10:9 is simply saying that if the Jews would confess Jesus with their mouths and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead, then they could go on to accept the death of Jesus (as substitutionary), the blood of Jesus and the plan of salvation that was preached by Peter and the rest of the apostles. Confession and believing would put them on the road to being safe so that they could accept the gospel and be saved. Notice, even the much criticized Wycliffe New Testament translation properly renders the word “saved” as the Greek word “sozo” (sode’-zo) which means to be safe, do well or be well. That if thou acknowledge in thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believest in thine heart, that God raised him from the death (that God raised him from the dead), thou shalt be safe. Romans 10:9 (Wycliffe New Testament) Romans 10:9 was not and is not offering anybody salvation from sin. You can’t be saved until you first get saved; you get saved by obeying the book of Acts. You can go to Romans and talk about being saved. You can go to Corinthians and talk about living saved. You can go to Galatians and talk about thinking saved, but you aren’t going to be saved until you obey the book of Acts Beloved, don’t let false prophets and jelly backed preachers tell you about being saved without telling you how to get saved. I don’t care what doctor so-and-so says and it don’t matter what Bishop Pretender says, the Word of God is the final court of appeals. If you can’t validate it by the Bible, you just have to let it go. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again John 3:7; Acts 2:38 KJV
SALVATION OBTAINED All that Jesus did for mankind at Calvary is summed up in a statement by Jesus Himself after His resurrection; “Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day; and that REPENTANCE and REMISSION of sins should be preached in HIS NAME among ALL NATIONS (not just Jews), beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46, 47). Note that Calvary made possible a “universal plan of salvation” for the NATIONS (Gentiles); that repentance and remission of sins was to be preached in HIS (Jesus) NAME; that it was to have its beginning at Jerusalem. Let us go to it’s “ starting point” (beginning at Jerusalem) and see how “salvation was obtained”. At Pentecost, after Peter’s stinging indictment, accusing the nation of Israel of the crucifixion of Christ (Acts 2:22-24) he was asked by those who where guilty, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said unto them, “Repent acnd be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”. (Acts 2:37, 38). The response of Peter, by the power of the Holy Ghost to the Jews first, is still in force this day, till the TRUMP of God sounds to call his beloved “1st Peter 2:9-10” up, to meet the Lord in the air. Will you be save today? Acts 2:38; 4:10-12; Ephesians 4:5; Colossians 3:17 KJV All scriptures are from the KJV BIble
WATER BAPTISM IN HIS NAME Water baptism was administered in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST; for this was the name given to our Savior before His birth for the purpose of “saving men from their sins” (St. Matt. 1:21); for there is salvation in “none other name” (Acts 4:12) whereby we must be saved. The Apostles always administered baptism in His NAME from the day of Pentecost forward. There is no biblical record of one person ever being baptized as believers are today apart from Acts 2:38. No one was ever baptized, using the formula “in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST All true believers received the gift of the Holy Ghost, as promised by our Lord, as a witness to the scripturally-based faith in Jesus (St. John 7:37-39) We further believe that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost “marked a new era” in the Spirit’s dealing with mankind as Prophesied by Joel (2:28, 29) and Isa. 28:11), the Holy Ghost being the “gift” of every believer in this age of grace, both handmaidens, servants, sons and daughters. The Holy Ghost bears witness that “we are the children of God” (Rom. 8:16); it is witness to the faith of our hearts (Acts 15:7-9). The Holy Ghost does NOT indwell the believer simply because he says, “I believe”, as many evangelicals teach. Apostle Paul shows that the Holy Ghost comes after believing (Eph. 1:13), NOT synonymous with it. As said before, the Holy Spirit is “the seal of the righteousness of the faith” which the believer has (Rom. 4:11) as circumcision was the seal of the righteousness of faith of Abraham. All scriptures are from the KJV Bible
The Purpose of the Church of the Living God The church is not an organization, the church is an anointed organism on a soul saving mission. The church’s purpose is to get us out of sin through preaching. In 1 Corinthians 1:21 Paul said: …it please God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. We have to remember, he said “the foolishness of preaching, not “the preaching of foolishness”! But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 Corinthians 4:1-5 KJV The tragedy in Christendom today is that there is very little true preaching going on. Anytime you don’t hear Jesus in the sermon, you haven’t heard anything. If a preacher doesn’t touch on the cross, repentance or the blood of Jesus what did he really talk about? When solid messages are preached from the Bible. Proper Bible preaching will get you to the Holy Ghost and then get the Holy Ghost in you. St. Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:8; 2:36-38; 4:10-11; 20:28; Ephesians 4:5; Colossians 3:17 KJV
The Great Deception Is Here! Beloved ones, Watch, and Pray. Be not deceived! Matthew 24:4 KJV DECEPTION AT ALL TIME HIGH IN OUR DAY! His ID is found in Isaiah 14:12-17 KJV Don’t buy that lie from the father of lies, and here is why, he wants to give you a spirit of fear to steal your joy, kill your hope and destroy your faith. Revelation 12:9; St. John 8:44 KJV The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and destroy: St. John 10:10; Isaiah 14:12-17 KJV Don’t worry, be happy, go on with your life. It’s your thing, let go let live, do what you want to do, if it fills good, do it! Romans 6:23; I John 2:15-17 KJV That wicked one knows many believes there’s a heaven and hell, but, if he can convinced you to think in your heart’s what’s the hurry, I have time to go on with my usual routine’s, I will be alright, Jesus not returning for me until I get it all together and finish fulfilling my personal goal’s in this life. I John 2:15-17 KJV Not For Sale! Proverbs 23:23 (KJV), Buy the truth and sell it not… When the Bible says, “buy it”, that means get it, acquire it, invest in it, procure it and own it! But the only way to get it is to get Jesus. Truth is not on sale at Walmart. It does not come in cans. You cannot buy truth by the bag, bottle, package or pound. To get it, you have to get Jesus. Since Jesus is the way, truth and life, there can be no other way, truth and life: Without the way you can’t go, without the truth, you can’t know, without the life you can’t live. St. John 14:5-12; St. Luke 24:47; Acts 2:36-38; 4:9-12; Ephesians 4:5; Colossians 3:17 KJV
The only person I know of in the USA who actually 'walked the walk' and revealed the hidden meaning of the symbolism encoded into all the biblical texts was the author, James Mason. You should read his books and then get back to me. Only, for what should be obvious reasons, you'll find the books very hard to come by... 😉
Thanks for this Word Pastor Pete, very good message for this day and time. With kids and young people is the reason for a relationship. As David said, I to could have said the same thing; “my sin is ever before me” But thanks for the saving Grace of our Savior, my sins are forgiven.
Thanks for another great lesson this week. I really enjoy examples of knowledge, wisdom and understanding, along with the 5 don’t s. As a believer I glad that the disciplines us. *It’s okay if you use my squirrel on the plane, & if you want to photoshop him you can, and for your daughter sake you can say no squirrels were harmed in this photo. Lol
One of the last photos was that of Butchart Gardens in Bentwood Bay Vancouver Island BC! One of my favorite places to visit. I have been there Three times! Love it there.
Loved going through Romans 12 again, I thought you did an excellent job covering it. This is my breakdown of Chapter 12 verse’s 1-2 is the Christian Mind; 3-8 is the Christian and or with others; 9-21 is the Law of Love. Christ wants all of me, my whole body, meaning my thoughts, prayer life, my whole heart! We live in a broken world, and sin comes after our bodies. We need to think rightly about God, ourselves and one another. We as believers exist to glorify and enjoy God. HIS will really is good, pleasing and perfect in all things. Thought; If our most private thoughts were seen, what would those reveal about me/you? Thanks again for another awesome lesson! Love y’all
Thanks Pastor Pete for another wonderful lesson and illustration! This came to mind, dealing with Grace;, it’s unmerited favor ,(if we earned it we could lose it.) It is GOD giving me what I don't deserve.

Amen 🙏🏻. Excellent teaching Pastor Pete. Just found your channel. Jesus is my Lord and Savior ✝️💟
Thanks for update on Meryle
The only person I know of in the USA who actually 'walked the walk' and revealed the hidden meaning of the symbolism encoded into all the biblical texts was the author, James Mason. You should read his books and then get back to me. Only, for what should be obvious reasons, you'll find the books very hard to come by... 😉
i have not read but will try to find
Amen both old and new are related to Jesus. Thank you for Midnight Cry!!

Thanks for this Word Pastor Pete, very good message for this day and time. With kids and young people is the reason for a relationship. As David said, I to could have said the same thing; “my sin is ever before me” But thanks for the saving Grace of our Savior, my sins are forgiven.

Love y’all
Very Good Word from the WORD! Thanks
Thanks Pastor Pete for another wonderful lesson and illustration! This came to mind, dealing with Grace;, it’s unmerited favor ,(if we earned it we could lose it.) It is GOD giving me what I don't deserve.
