I subscribed. Appreciate the hard work
Okay, harsh critique incoming that may or may not improve your channel in the future. you’re calling out your viewers for not subscribing enough (like big UA-camrs do it), but the videos you shoot aren’t professional: especially the lacking flow in your speech, sometimes leading to confusion and lack of interest. Then how you edit your shots doesn’t seem very engaging or stimulating to watch. The individual videos seem to be lacking quality. However, you seem like you’re unique with passion for the subject, and that’s enough talent to make it as a UA-camr - given that you improve editing (e.g. less time between individual shots), flow of speech, summing up certain subjects more precisely.
I hear you bro I'm over here in New England and it's f****** cold lol 🤣
No? ua-cam.com/users/shorts4GH6KldB2_4?si=kjRyDwb03D0M1Gt9
That's why it's called freeztyling
Genius!!
Do you just use conformal coating to keep the drone safe from the snow?
Yes! I use MG chemicals silicone conformal coating and it works miracles. It will flake off if you try scratching where you put it on or touching it so as long as you keep your fingers away from it it will keep your drone fully protected!
fly anytime of the year :D
I love winter flying. I live in northern NH. Yesterday I went to a frozen pond where a few people were ice fishing. Fingerless gloves and rechargeable hand warmer for in between packs.
New sub 😎 great flying bro
Thank you 🙏
This old guy flies from in the house or car, send it! Happy Holidays to you and yours 🙏
Or you could fix it in one step and go digital.
When you say omni do you mean omnidirectional? Because the antenna you linked for the VTX is RHPC..?
That’s an omnidirectional antenna. RHCP is the polarization of the antenna. Pretty much you should run either all RHCP or all LHCP. Doesn’t matter which one just all have to be the same. Hope this helps!
@ oh ok I see, thank you
Looks like a retro VR lol
9:30 Good advice! I've been trying to do that and yes I'm so connected ans see so clearly now.
Thanks bro for thw tips
Redundant ground...YT. Propsoff
I disagree with your statement regarding digital and not having to worry about it. I fly both and have to say that digital is is nice when not flying too far, plus the durability of the system seems to be miles better than analog components... In other than that, a good analog system is just more reliable than digital. With digital, the latency, although not terrible is definitely noticeable, and the experience of losing your signal compared to analog can be the difference between bringing your drone back or not. Plus, rapid fire has the drone finder thing where you point your goggle's antennas different ways and if your vtx is still getting power, it will beep at you more the closer you get and you can see the signal in the spectrum anaylyzer. Not necessarily a game changer, but nice when put in a specific condition of losing your drone that still is powered up.
Your comment is very complete, and what antenna do you use for the vtx and on the rapidfire
👏great video bud - agreed with every word!
Why do you still use an analog system?
@@atriusvinius319 it’s more reliable, lower latency, and most importantly the cheapest option. If you have an O3 system on a freestyle drone and break the camera on it, your out $150. If you break an analog camera it’s $16. Almost 10 times less. I am gonna save up for a DJI system but that’s specifically for long range only. I will always fly analog on freestyle.
@@Witty_FPVdrones I see. Dji O3 is a really expensive thing. How often do you break your camera and the others components?
@@atriusvinius319 I very rarely break cameras. I use a very small one and most of the time when you break an analog camera you can just get a new lense for $5. The O3 is very large and it’s a lot easier to break. Most of the time I break props and antennas though
Hey bro I from india, and now I will bou fpv goggles, iflight Fpv Goggles vs skyzon cobra s , which one is best, and if I use good antana on my iflight then which one is better
@@TechFpvindia. the skyzone cobra S would win in my book. Although you wouldn’t see too much of a difference in performance, you would definitely prefer the quality of the skyzone goggles. Thanks for watching! Hello India! 🇮🇳

Copy. I'll get as High as possible.
the last pack stuff is true, i just crashed yesterday after flying so well on the other batteries. It happens to me often
THANKS for sharing!
Interesting!
Pcb way seems cool too
I can dig any research 🎉❤😂 much love
I mean they have live feed on the ground? soooooo technically it kinde is fpv
I'm not a fan of the skyzone goggles I have, but they do allow 2 modules at once and 4 total antennas for 'quadversity'. It's pretty good.
That’s crazy!!!
@@Witty_FPVdrones It's pretty legit. But to clarify why I don't like them it's cause of the lenses. They are the SKY04O's but I should have got the 04X's. Mine have cheap plastic crap looking lenses but otherwise they are legit goggles that offer DVR and all the inputs/outputs etc. The nifty thing about them is that they came with a standard 5.8g diversity module that also receives audio. So I was able to buy the "Steadyview X" module that has a narrower bandwidth filter (but no audio) and combine them together to get pretty good video AND audio. The Rush Tank Max Solo VTX is 2.5W capable but also has a real audio input so you can add your own AGC mic. I always recommend that vtx.
Liked and Subbed boii i can see that you also share the same passion. Nice edits too.
Skyzone not recomended?
It is pretty good. I just have no experience with it.
I have to disagree with just maxing out the amount of gain on the VTX antenna. The radiation pattern is a large toroid, and more gain will flatten it out. This is good if you need extended range and the pattern will stay very level, but as it's going to increase the size of your nulls, it can work against a quad that flips around arbitrarily. As for digital signals, they still bear the same weaknesses as analog, but do a better job of hiding their struggles. Following good practices for analog will benefit all radio systems out there, even if you don't see it happen.
Yes I agree with your point! Usually you’ll only find a “max” omni antenna of 2.8-3dBi made for fpv.
Tip #6 buy a dji 03 system 😅
i’d go for ws instead of dji
HEY, I don’t have that type of bread :(
Awesome video. I just subscribed.
So the wildfire fusion module (look at bardwells vid on it) isnt the best but for around 60 to 80 dollars theres the speedybee fusion module, it has almost the same performance as a rapidfire
Ah yes. Speedybee is so good for the hobby with how well priced it is. Only thing I’d be concerned about is how long it would last before breaking but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Speedybee. I think they made a bad rep for themselves with the whole randomly exploding ESC issue they had.
@@Witty_FPVdrones yeah and actually that esc issue is fixed. But i got it day one and theres no degredation in signal like tbs sometimes has in there vtx, and i highly recommend lookin at thw comparison on this module and a rapidfire. Its absolutly insane how close they are, hell i flew a tinywhoop (400 mw) from my couch inside my house through the backyard of the neighbor 2 houses up and still had perfect video, it makes NO sense
In the 21st century when almost everyone switching to digital, you talk about analog… probably this is the reason why nobody is subscribing 😊
💀💀💀 people still use analog dawg
Ah yes found the dji pilot🤣🤣 around 50 percent probably more are on analog still bro. Analog has better latency, audio support, is cheaper, aswell as king on 1 s whoops (please try to freestyle a hd whoop and tell me its better than a analog whoop (from a performance side)
@@ThrashFPV THANK YOU ❤️❤️ I’m not the only one thinking analog is still useful 😭😭😭
@@ThrashFPValso analog is the heart and soul of all freestyle fpv. If you break an analog camera or vtx it’s only $30 to fix and if you break a dji air unit it’s gonna be $120 to $300 to fix. With freestyle where you’re bashing your drone all the time you want analog
@@Witty_FPVdrones fr tho. Not everything has to be some perfect picture in your goggles to have a great time, and with how far analog has come like with the phoenix 2 cam and that you just use an action cam if you want hd video, analog is KING. But hey ill gladly buy up the old fatsharks because of people selling analog (got dominator hd2s for $125)
I fly mountains with double Omni
Do you do one straight up and one sideways or both straight up? I’ve heard good things about dual omni so maybe I’ll try it and do a review between: patch+omni, crosshair+omni, dual patch, and dual omni. We can find out what yields the best range!
@@Witty_FPVdrones the double AXII is straight up and the tbs Omni is sideways
@@babyzfpv1234 that’s awesome!! Thanks!
Lumenier Double AXII 2 long range antenna is my favorite!!! If you’re flying cliff sides or mountains, just make sure you stand where you can always see the drone. And do not deviate away from the path.
Oh yeah lumenier makes unbelievable products!!
Double AXII 2 for receiver and TrueRC Matchstick on tx. Both amazing antennas.
Hey thanks for watching!! I do appreciate all the comments helping me out! I want to make it clear that I am pretty new to FPV. I’ve only been doing it for 2 years. Take my suggestions with a grain of salt because everything I’ve come up with is based off my own research and testing. Thanks again and keep commenting as it helps me learn!
Do you have your part 107?
@@Jellyman not quite yet. I’m currently studying for it. Don’t worry, nothing on my UA-cam channel is monetized and I don’t make money off drone filming yet.
@@Witty_FPVdrones that's a bit of a misconception. I'm a part 107 pilot in the area, do you have a discord server or anything?
@@Jellyman no I don’t have a discord server yet but hopefully soon! Would be a good way of connecting people in the community for sure.
@@Witty_FPVdrones if you want, my server is linked in my bio. I tried linking it here but I think UA-cam blocked the url
Crosshair isn’t a patch antenna, it’s a crosshair, they are different
My bad I misspoke. Patch antennas do a great job at picking up in the direction they face. The crosshair is similar to a patch but has better penetration and a smaller field of reception. Thanks!
You forgot steadyview with the 3 mix modes
Oh yes I didn’t even realize that receiver was a thing!
Yes that's what I use, its top notch 😅
Subscribe... Like... Now your a better pilot!
First, clearview was the king of reciever and the first in market with mixing ability. It is still the best and also they still upgrade there reciever. Second, you want to use 2 of the same type of antenna pointing in the same direction in mixing mode. Third, you can use a mx-air in vertical position to replace a omni, it will get you 5.8 dbi
