That case really draws attention!
I like the mp3. But would prefer taking my autel evo 2 for playing. I took my mp3 the Bangladesh and it was perfect for the trip. However often when i fley i had eagles eyeing my drones and too many close call. I couldnt take my autel due to its size and would have been heavy to carry. I know the birds wouldnt have dared come close to it if they they wanted their wings clipped. I still use the softcase to carry my bits and pieces but with my autel i have a hardcase
I stick the strobe on the arse of my drones and have velcro on the batteries of the mini 4. I've covered my mini 4 drone in a red skin and seems to keep the birds at bay and its a lot easier to see in the air
Amazing, stunning views again, great props those I did a review video on them 👌👍
Thank you. I can't wait for the weather to pick up so I can get out again, I will have a watch of your video on the prop as it would be good to see what you think to them.. thanks Rich
Great flight mate, well done 👍
Thanks again for your comments. I really do appreciate the support 👍
Great looking hard case, I’ve had birds flying round the drone but never attacked it! Thanks for sharing, new sub for your channel from me to see your next one 👍
Hi, thanks for the comment and the sub. The hard case is great. I was worried about it when it was in the bag, hence the case. I would defo recommend it, I'm not sure if I'm just over worried about the seagulls, but dam, are they nasty buggers down here they even attack the hawk one of the locals brings down to try to deter them.
How was that a epic fail?
It's a good pass time to get into, I have a mini SE 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇬🇧
Hi, thanks for the comment. It sure is a fun hobby to get into ,I'm really enjoying it but there is a lot more to it then you would first think, iv got so many cracking spots to fly once I get a bit more flight time and confidence.. Happy flying 👌
Another good flight. You're lucky to live in such a picturesque area. And I think the change of propellers made a difference.
Hi, thanks for the comment, and yes, I am almost sure the props have made the difference as I took it out again today and once again no problem with birds or gulls.
Nice Video Rich, beautiful place ,are you recording on 4k I can only view on 1080p ,, I am amazed by the Tech of these things ,I am going to get some filters too supposed to make quality even better .well done
Hi, thanks for the comment. I think I'm filming in 1080p, not fully sure, but I'm sure I've read that you can only zoom in 1080p and not 4k. I've really got to get my head around the camera next, I hit pro mode by mistake today, and I got a white screen so I defo have a lot more to take on-board. Thanks
For your first few flights i would reccomend flying the drone in a big open space until you get used to the control and confident with it etc, also i would say to set the max distances at a fairly low distance to begin with too then the dorne cant escape from you, overall a fairly decent video, and you didd it right the drones dont like to be tilted when then land (it does something to the motherboard) best to land on flat surface
Hi ak thanks for the comment, I really appreciate the input and will be sticking to open space like you say till I build some flight time, there is a lot to take on board being totally new to photography as well as the drone. Thanks again for the advice
I've been flying the mini 2 since 2021. No bird problems thankfully. Honestly if you have bird problems. U might want to reconsider having a drone. But keeping an eye out for them works. If you see them. fly straight up or straight down. I've heard birds can't fly straight up or straight down.
Hi reg, thanks for the comment, I did go back and try again with a different set of propellers, and the seagulls did seem to leave it alone. The only thing I could think was may be the sound difference in the props.
you mean m3p? Mini 3 pro is M3P :-P and the red is B.S. Plenty of people have their drones attacked with simple red tape. You need reflective tape, which may or may not work. What works for me, and I can demonstrate it by flying along side Harris Hawks, and Red Tailed Hawks, is dual firehouse Arc V strobes set for a red flash. I have flown my naked Mavic 3 Pro with Hawks, Condors, and Falcons using them.
Thanks for the comment, Matt It sounds like you're a lot more advanced with the drone than myself, I could imagine the footage with hawks being unreal to see, but I'm just not ready for that yet, I have got the strobe but not fitted yet as not sure if it will take it over the 249 grams. Nice to know you use them red as I guess I would have just left them white. Thanks for the info. It was much appreciated 👍
@@richviews-do9ed I'm still putting a red wetsuit on my Mavic 3 Pro. Better safe than sorry, and I needed the Phantom wetsuit anyway, for those stormy cloud hyperlapses :-P
Just be aware that is not a 249g drone anymore, now that you have added the strobe. Even the red tape might take it just over but hopefully not, the strobe definitely well. So it effectively becomes a 250-500g drone which limits what you can do and where you can fly significantly.
Hi Rob, Thanks for the comment. I removed the strobe until i get a small set of scales to weigh it. To be fair, I wasn't over confident in how and where it was mounted, so not flown with it yet, but I would imagine it would be great to keep it visible in the sky.
Epic fail NOT. That was fantastic if you ask me. And you have some of the most beautiful scenery to video and photograph. It takes a while to get used to flying the thing. But it looks like you got the hand launch and landings down pat. Keep posting and don't be so hard on yourself. Like I said I think for a first flight that was great.
Wow, thank you. Your comment really did give a boost at a time I was feeling slightly deflated, and that is so much appreciated
Cheers Rich ,I was exactly the same nerve racking at first, I have done 4 flights now with my DJI mini 3 ,go to a place with no Seagulls and practice just flying the drone switch to cine mod and it goes a bit slower i nearly crashed mine on first flight lol.. Enjoyed the Video 👍 Keep going
Hi, thanks for the comment really nice to know I'm not the only one at this stage. As was a little unsure, whether to post or not, as it felt a little lame. I did go back yesterday and try again, made a little longer and had less problems with gulls I think it may be down to changing the propellers and sound difference 🤷♂️ enjoy
Hi Rich, I have used the red Tape on my 3 mini pro and I can tell you that It Works, no bird issue so far ! 🍻
Thanks for the comment, I did send the drone up yesterday, but the seagulls seemed to make a bee line straight for it or may be I just bottle it. Either way it was a fail,
The only thing to possibly consider - If you have the DJI Care package or similar - Would aftermarket props void this if you crash or have a flyaway?
Hi, yes, this was exactly what I was thinking, I may have to send dji an email and find out there view on this.
Nice Hard Case Rich .looking forward to seeing first flight
Hi thanks for the comment, I did get the drone up but the seagulls seemed to come straight for it, and I bottled it. Let's hope it's 3rd time lucky
I use a DJI mavic 2 pro for my off-road videos and so far didn’t have an issue with any birds. Hard shell case is great to protect your equipment.
Wish this was a bit more Known of when I had the 4x4 I can image the footage is epic
Wow, What's your point!?!?!
No point really. Just me as a beginner getting in to the hobby and sharing my experiences along the way
Weird comment, weirdo
Complete novice here as well. Got rid of some unused items and got the dji mini 2 from cex. Got my flyer and operator id and also got some wrap for the drone in the hope that it will help with the birds. I am still to have a proper flight, the weather is so bad. Can't wait to see a flight video. All the best to you.
Great to know that I'm not alone in this. I'm just about to go try the hand launch and retrieve fingers crossed it will go well, and I will get a bit of flight time to make a video to post on here keep me post with how your first flight goes
Hi Rich, I've recently brought the dji mini 4 pro which came with the same useless soft case, could you please leave a link to the useful hard case you have, with the extra storage space in the base. Thanks.😉
Nice fair play, would have loved the mp4 but just a little out of my budget. The link to the case should be in the Description 👍I would highly recommend the case bang for buck
