I am still watching this anime and always wished for remake but now i see the old one still much better with art beside why they changed how Andre dies. he died before her in one day he died 13th of June and she dies 14th 😢
this version is actually more accurate than the 1976 anime: in the manga André gets hit from a stray bullett to protect Oscar when they're assaulting the Bastille, so he dies on the 14th of July. Their love confession takes place quite before in the manga as well. Don't get me wrong I love the anime, but there were too many differences with the manga and it would be nice to see a remake more faithful to the original and with better animation.
