The first time they ever played the song together was earlier that afternoon. They just jammed on it at soundcheck then decided “what the hell, it’s our last gig, let’s just do it”. Hence why Jimmy had a copy of the lyrics handy lol.
@@AceMegastar yeah Don only wrote the song a day or two before this concert it's still classic the band thinking WTF the giggling the looks they give each other then Jimmy's smile as he holds up the lyrics
mossy aint learning hes drunk oh my cold chisel Ian Moss is adorable <3 Strayyaaa and England. Love my cross continental cousins. CHISEL-LONDON 2012 FUCK YEEEAAAA
Cold Chisel & the Angels are exactly what late 70's and 80's Aussie rock were all about, these two bands set the bar for the rest to achieve some came close but never really made it. COLD CHISEL and the Original or say traditional ANGELS with Doc up front Forever and ever, enough said.
Saturday nights already old (correct....from here it goes wrong) I can feel the sea grow cold (untranslatable) ease my mind, show me what you like, no I don't mind.... (lyrics are presented) Show me a light....etc etc What a fuckin laugh
Partly right, Yes I could guarantee he was mutless at the time, but Ian fluffed the 2nd line onwards until the lyrics were in front of him, and it's easy to do, the album was ready to release at that stage...the lyrics were set in stone already. If you think Jimmy wrecked the gig, you obviously weren't there. Cold Chisel were successful because the band consisted of 5 Arsekickers, including the lead vocalist.... Rare in any era. A big piston does not make a machine, but it does make the machine.
Bloody hell use google. "Saturday night’s already old Walking into Sunday, and I find All desires are cold I could walk forever, I don’t mind Show me a light, your company Goes a little way to help me see The path on which I’m bound Rather than the things I leave behind"
