Particularly love the intonation- and sound-wise brutally honest and musically demanding slow tempi of 4 and 7. A real stretch, what a master!

Personally I think Leonid Kogan is not only one of the top genius or best world violinists, sadly died at 58 years old, but one of the best Paganini 's violin interpreter.

Michel Beroff and Kurt Masur truely have a beautiful understanding of the lyricism a of this music. So many inturpretations are so ridiculously fast and out of control. This performance is very impressive and magical. Beroff and Masur did an outstanding job on this piece.

John Browning American pianist has also cut a perfectionist performance with Eric Leinsdorf on Angel's Label LP playing the above concerto in the sixties... Naxos label has the great Korean pianist Koon Wu Paik who recorded the Prokofiev five piano concertos winning award...
