108. Navigating Adult Friendships
Have you ever felt like adult friendships are a bit of a rollercoaster?
Join me in this episode, as I explore the unique complexities of adult friendships. Why they sometimes drift apart, why misunderstandings linger, and why the friendships that once felt so solid can grow distant or disappear altogether.
We’ll talk about the life transitions that shake up even the strongest bonds, from marriage and parenthood to career shifts, and how unspoken expectations, silent competition, and even social media can impact our closest connections.
If you’ve ever felt the sting of losing a friend or struggled to keep connections alive, this one’s for you.

106. The Benefits of Journaling
Переглядів 62Місяць тому
This week, I cleaned out my office cabinet, and I found decades of journals dating back to 1976. They were filled with memories, emotions, repetitive thoughts, overthinking, and growth. When writing them, the journals served as a therapeutic tool that helped me process feelings and provide clarity to my overthinking mind. Reading them now allows me to reflect on how my past experiences shaped m...

As summer comes to an end, I’ve given myself a homework assignment to reflect on the summer I turned 60. When I was younger, I loved summer, but this year, I was dreading it. I faced a quieter summer, as my grown children were an ocean away, and many of my friends were travelling. But I was determined to make the most of the summer by embracing change and seeking joy in my life, regardless of t...

100. Why Are We So Hard On Ourselves?
Переглядів 524 місяці тому
Why is it that we’re often our own harshest critics? Why are we harder on ourselves for mistakes, we would easily forgive others for? I know I’ve experienced self-criticism, especially when it comes to perfectionism. Society expects us to always do well and emphasises achievement. We’re told to work hard and be resilient. Social media fuels this by setting unrealistic standards we’ve all seen a...

I am a big fan of yours
I love this video and Tony!!! My husband and I are both shelf violators, me for spices on the vitamin shelf and him for putting away dishes! I have to put the dishes away first or I will hunt for lids, pots and bowls!
I love Tony and Monk
How about Antonio Scarpacci from Wings??
I’m not mad about this 🥰🥰😂

I can’t help it, I just love this guy. I started watching him in wings and followed him for years, so handsome all the time especially NOW!! Beard and mustache combination! Yes! Love and remember his wife as an actress the beautiful Brook Adam’s.
What an amazing actor.
Beautiful interview of a great actor (from Italy)

@@tracyetclaude9195 so glad you enjoyed it!
😉
Seriously!
Love this! 🎉 ❤
thanka a lot for very interesting podcast. People in the past in order to memories information were walking together and were telling stories and singing songs. In helped them to use their country as a memory gym. Currently we sit a lot and watch UA-cam or Facebook and it makes us stupid if we overuse it. What do you think if we start walking and sharing stories, songs, like people in the past, in order to be more energized, have better memory and be healthy? Would you like to create a cource of learning while walking?
This is a very interesting idea.
Thank you❤
✝️✅🧠
This was really welcome today. As the other comment said “what if you were worth fighting for “ really hit me this morning. Thank you
I am so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you!
Very helpful😊
I am so glad!
The abrupt ad in the middle of this was quite alarming
I am so sorry! This is something that UA-cam does without my permission and I cannot control. I will ask again for them to be removed!

Thank you for the kind words. I hope you have a fantastic reunion!
High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lbs overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas even the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and over time went blind
Thank you for making this video, it was really helpful.
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it.
This is exactly what I need to hear. 😊 Thank you!
I am so happy to hear this!
❤😂🎉
Thank you this helped me 🙇
I am so glad.
Thank you, Jackie! I’ve been having trouble with my thesis because of my fear of making mistakes. Today, I will aim for doing my best, rather than being perfect.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I have an episode dedicated to Perfectionism available tomorrow on "The OverThinker's Guide to Joy" episode 84. Available here on the UA-cam channel or wherever you get your podcasts. :)
