A tree fell on me while I was riding a motorcycle.

Every piece of gear I was wearing did its job. Abrasion resistant clothes, back protector, knee pads, boots, gloves, and helmet. In and out of the hospital with no surgery. Injuries: C5 Vertebra - minor compression fracture Right ring finger - middle phalanx fracture Left middle finger - distal phalanx partial fracture Left fibular - partial fracture Right anterolateral chest wall contusion

I have a 1988 model . My folks bought it brand new. I learned to ride with it. Back then I was barely able to shift the gears lol. I wasn’t allowed to ride alone until I could pull start the machine. It was a big machine for its time. Now it looks tiny next to today’s machines . I am restoring it but it really doesn’t need much . Few wearable parts and a full service. Not bad for 36 years old.

Why is the front brake line looping over the instrument panel? That's a bad design. A good everyday ride for local use.
Thats how it is on almost all modern dirtbikes.

My lav mic failed on the trip down, the wind noise is insane. Maxed out "wind noise reduction" setting was active and it still sounds that bad.

Nice bike. You need to do a few upgrades and get some speed out of it. If you subtract about 7 mph that's how fast it's really going. If you get one of the 90cc kits from Rolling Wrench that thing would be going 45mph real speed. If you bought it new you need to change the oil and spark plug ASAP.

@@firstinlastout I know you can pick up a 150cc Maddog for right around $2,000. Check out Cajun Maddogs I have heard nothing but good thing from the people that purchased from them. The Rolling Wrench kit costs about $220 for the 50cc. If you're a big dude I suggest getting the 150cc Maddog.
I've been doing a lot of research before I pull the trigger on ordering one 50cc and came across a guy that got it to do 40mph almost stock.. he did get a filter but most of the things he just modified the stock parts, like he took out the exhaust silencer, drilled out something on the carburetor to make bigger, n something other extra things I can't even think of on the top of my head rn
@@firstinlastout Check out Cajun Maddogs. If you're a big dude you might as well pick up a 150cc. The 90cc kit is about $220 so it's about the same price to just pick up a 150cc maddog vs a 50cc.
What's the biggest problem with these bikes?
The front tires are usually out of round and wobble a lot. Saw one of them that had a bunch of shorted out LEDs right out of the box and was blowing the main fuse and smoking circuit boards.

I would check with your DOT. 150cc powered motorcycles and trikes need to be at least 250cc to be legal to ride on highways.
This is the main road through town. I ride 49cc scooters on this road with no problem.

Running around on the worst roads in going to give you a rough ride. I drive a car into Oklahoma on the Bailey Turnpike, and my kidneys feel like they have been punched a few times.
These motorcycles are nice but those roads are not. If this is the Gen IV model, I can try to find out how to calibrate the speedometer.
The only problem with a trike is you can't avoid a pothole . Words from J leno .

Yeah, if you're gonna ride one of these on imperfect roads you're gonna be constantly focused on the bumps and dips and not thinking about traffic at all. Thanks for watching and I hope you find a ride you like.
Avoid janky roads. We've been doing this stuff with minibikes, and BMX for years. You know what to expect. Stand in trot stance when you see crap road in front of you. Danged babies.

Love this time of year Every spring the motorcycles come out of hibernation.
I’d prefer all the other mods and standard pipe for stealth mode , we had a woods track on quarry land spent ages on it three summers of fun on ttr 125 sw’s standard pipes. As soon as we invited some mates with loud Chinese pit bikes we were thrown off by police.
Its pretty neat that's the kind of stuff our tax dollars go towards, right?
