that's the main menu area and probably where max went after he got the interceptor back in the end

i dont know why they dont let you go there cuz there is no sense like, max in the cutscene can drive there but in-game you cant

Imagine this: After completing the story and unlocking the Interceptor( Or pursuit special) you would be able to reach and cross that area and then you would have gotten an cutscene of Max driving away with the Interceptor, and then after you go back to the main menu you will have diferent scenario of Max standing beside his car watching the horizon just like the beggining of "Fury road"

To discover the thing, you need to die a couple of times cuz max's health would be depleting slowly in your 1st attempts

yep i had suspicion that the raod was from opening cutscene when you start a new game... oh second thought, did that truck go that far for max to get to Chumbucket's area? And there was a good chunck of nothing there... i think i awnsered my own question

я бы сказал в касцене в начале игры, как Макс там ездил и смог выжить, а когда мы играем за Макса и хотим выехать в "великое ничто" то мы начинаем умирать, даже Жестянчик говорит: лучше туда не заезжать, а не то от жары умрёшь или от мощной бури. Наверное это место для главного меню было сделано, а без читов туда не попасть
