i had a very similar issue in my 02 civic. i thought it was the current shunt, replaced it and it caused a bunch more issues, most likely got a bad part from autozone someone returned, lol. turned out to be an exhaust leak. the exhaust was leaking on long drives and would over heat the alienator and cause the voltage regulator diode bridge in the back of them to fail. most people dont realize that altinators now days have voltage regulators in th eback of them and are the main thing that fails when they go bad from overheating. mine was still kind of working and after i fixed the exhaust leak i found that if i increased the load on the electrical system enough, it would prevent any issues by running the fan on low and always keeping the lights on. wonder if this would fix the issue if it came back.

So these are not going to work on the ‘18 Outback, correct?

On their website under compatability where it says crosstrek it says h16 adaptor required what exactly is that and did you have to buy that adaptor?

Hi, you look like you may have answers to a very specific problem I have. I made a Crosstrek camper but it doesn't have a door latch from the inside, and it doesn't come with auto door raisers like in the Forrester. I want to be able to kick open the door from the inside in the mornings so I don't have to rotate out the side door. Do you have a good idea of a workaround?

Just received and installed 4bangers and the SMK Ditch Light Brackets on '23 Outback Onyx. Worked perfectly even though the website has not yet updated the SMK bracket info to '2023' version. If you have a 2023 Outback just buy the '22 version bracket. As for the bracket not accepting the Morimoto provided bolts (SMK bracket hole diameter is a little too small).. Instead of hunting for new hardware - just bored out the SMK hole a little using a 3/8" bit - took 60 seconds to shave a little bit of metal. My Morimoto hardware now fits like a glove. The 4bangers are perfect for this location and results are amazing. THanks for the idea !

Well, that sucks. I got Diode Dynamics SL1 LEDs on mine. Been almost 2 years and no problems at all. I also don’t get flashed. And I can always hear the little cooling fans working. So far so good 🤙🏼

Would the rear door with rain guard get in the way of the rack? Would the door open? What about wind noise? Does it mount directly to the bar or to the basket? Any drilling required? Where can I get more info on this product?

I need these for the OBW.
