Do you recommend SP-404 mk2 for a beginner with no experience for mainly making beat? I have background in mix & mastering but I want to do more than just that.

Hi man, love the video! One question I had was when you used compression. Did you use compression on just the drum loop before resampling then again on master? Or was it applied to the sample on its own? One thing I struggle with is where to use compression and I find my drums to always be so harsh. Often I just have 303 vinyl sim on master with either eq/tape/404 vinyl but trying to figure out my drum and master bus better. thanks for any help!
