CHARACTER ANIMATION in LightWave 3D, now even better with my free tools, bundled in Legato Suite.
For example CONDUCTOR (Animation Project Management), BREAKDANCE (Pose/Motion Assistant), CHORUS (Render Assistant), and more... (Legato, Selector, Sliders, Monitor, Oscilloscope, Fake Onion, Slit Scan, Subdivision Master, Organizer, MIDI Keyboard Player). Each tool shows in its own unique way the area in which LightWave 3D could still grow, in my opinion.
Follow me on my journey as I try to get my own 3D animation skills up to a decent level. This includes self-written scripts, an Open Conductor Demo Project to test drive the project management features in Conductor, production reels, tool tips, exercises based on the 12 animation principles, etc.
All this is non-commercial. Feel free to join!

This is a first exploration of the main stage in a story project to test the capabilities of my Legato Conductor plugin for LightWave 3D. It's an assembly of images with possible story locations combined with temp voice recordings. All voices are mine.

The most important lesson I learned here: PLANNING IS ESSENTIAL. Both project planning and shot planning. The second most important lesson I learned here: I NEED PROBLEM SOLVING TOOLS. It's fair to say that these conclusions formed the basis for two new plugins: Legato Conductor, and Legato Breakdance.
