Yes, you are absolutely correct! The Aerostar 600 was the twin piston version. Piper made a 601 version that was still piston driven but turbocharged. Then the big brother the 700! Thanks for the comment.

This lift was custom built for this particular plane type. Each aircraft type would require an F.A.A. STC.

Sure does! Sorry for not catching that on the video. We try and make the videos very short and to the point, but this plane certainly has a fully enclosed bathroom including a sink!

@@noone-el5wk This plane is not meant for long range flights. It is terrific for trips under 4 hours. We do have access to many great alternatives that have berthable couches and club configuration arrangements that with special inserts, become flat for bedding. This plane has a year of make of 1997, and has been completely refurbished inside and outside!

It is quite unfortunate, however this is in the hands of the aircraft manufacturers, the powered chair manufacturers, and the FAA/DOT. They would all need to get together and collaborate to make this a reality. At this time there is no safe way to accomplish this due to the sheer weight of each powered chair, the battery systems, and finding a way to safely attach an individuals' chair to a plane interior so that it does not become a 400-500 lb.+ projectile during flight. Thankfully we do have access to this amazing plane which is featured in the video, and although it is not suitable for every passenger, it is extremely helpful to many out there who are unable to climb up steps or walk at all.

It will start with the FAA taking a stronger stance on accessibility. Bombardier, Gulfstream, Bell, etc have smart enough engineers to work it out once they have a market for it. Even the boeings and airbuses can be made for it. It's just a numbers game. It costs a lot more than people realize to make a plane takeoff ready, fly it, and land it. A board driven airline isn't going to be quick to accept a CEO giving up revenue generating space for accessibility unless they are impacted by it themselves. Same for the manufacturer to invest money into making AdA compliant aircraft.

Michael, we do wish that all owners would install this system! It is a fabulous system to have. However the system is extremely expensive to install and the planes are generally all privately owned. The individual aircraft owners may not need this system for their own family/business associates/guests so for them to install it would just be for clients that are chartering. This is one of a kind!

Hi Anthony! Great question. It will all depend on the size of the plane and amenities offered within. The food is generally prepared prior to the trip departing and re-heated in the plane upon serving when necessary. We use top quality catering companies and the food is exceptional. Some aircraft have microwaves, some have a "slot oven". In the larger aircraft food can be ready in just a few minutes after take off. Items served cold such as fruit / cheese platters or a vegetable crudité would be served immediately.

Sorry for the very late reply! The lift system was built with a tolerance really just for up to 400 lbs combined weight between passenger / chair. Additionally, the lift plate is not very wide. Generally speaking, the manual chair that flies with the plane is the one used to board. Any powered chair/scooter is subject to review.

Yep, that's what I heard. Reminded me of the time the pilot of a Lear 35 or 45 at our local airport said, "Go ahead, you can get in and take a look." I check the restroom & was surprised that the sink was the size of one of my stainless steel mixing bowls at home, just big enough to get both my fists into . . . I guess I'll need to get a bigger jet in order to get a bigger sink . . . when I win the super lotto . . .

The Citation X is an awesome plane for trips back and forth across the country. You are 100% correct though. If someone is willing to spend additional money for their trip we can upgrade them to a wide body like the Challenger 350. It will be substantially more comfortable. It does however come with that higher price tag for the flight.

That’s funny! We have a CJ3+, very low maintenance as jets go.

My apologies, but the 10+ is still the fastest.

Hi Ryan! Thanks for asking. That is not smoke you see :) This film was taken in Miami, FL prior to boarding some passengers. The crew was blasting the air conditioning for the passengers before they arrived so that the cabin temperature was comfortable as the door was open. When an airplane is running the air conditioning system there is a large difference in temperature between the cabin interior and outside temperature. The humidity essentially turns into water droplets and looks like a fog or dew. You will find this in almost all airplanes (private jets and commercial jets) when the A/C is blasting during the warmer seasons. Hope this helps!
