I will get any camera to work in some way, shape, or form. All the better if I can get video off of it so that you and I can both feel the pain of seeing an image the size of a postage stamp, and audio that sounds like you're in a washing machine.
Also I make photographic prints with coffee.

I cant believe the iPhone 15 pro is doing this!!!
The iPhone 15 is FAKING long exposure star photos!!!

A jerry-rigged system to print pages photographically

Using a mix of coffee, washing soda, and vitamin C, you can develop photographic paper. Through a projector in the mix and you essentially have a photographic printer. Turmeric is photographic???

Mixing turmeric with water or alcohol apparently turns it into a photographic emulsion!
Fun and photographic (except not really)

How does one simply turn coffee into photos? - caffenol
Might be dust within the lense itself at manufacturing, got past quality control and yeah.
I do have some cameras like that, but like… Apple??
I think the people not getting it are failing to turn the brightness up. I just covered the lenses with my leg in a dark room, and there's probably 30-40 purple dots that look like stars. I wouldn't be surprised if this is an attempt by Apple to "boost" astro photography features for the next iPhone or something. The photos will look incredible and crazy. And they will be totally fake. And people will spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to overlay them against real star maps, and Apple fanboys will go nuts claiming they're all real stars and Apple's cameras are just better than actual astro photography cameras and telescopes.
@@richy2258 THANK YOU finally someone else is getting this.
I tried it and just got pitch black photo.
@@vishalbelwal is it a 15 pro?
Honestly, that's just noise with the exposure turned all the way up. There's no false enhancement here.
@@benjaminkelley2417 is it a 15 pro?
This is a bunch of bullshit. There's always stars in the sky so the fact that she said even if they were stars makes me question her IQ.
yeah that's just noise and weird photo processing. not all the 'pixels' on the sensor are exactly the same in sensitivity of different frequencies of light and such so the phones processing while attempting to bring out detail in a dark image will mistake it for detail and not as the noise it is.
Well when they showed the "stars" on the phone, i could recognize actual constelations
doesn't happen with my 15 pro lol, maybe her phone is baked
@@Icantinkrnlmao has it been updated recently?
I have the iPhone 15 (non-pro). Don't have that problem (or feature). Took a picture against a black canvas. 3s exposure. Photo is completely black.
Funny you should mention that, I just got the same phone, and couldn't get stars either... this may call for another video.
it happens to mines, Im a pro photographer and to me it looks like color noise and regular noise
@@kevaughnnash Yea it’s very strange, about halfway through the video it seems to load the stars in and out when I zoomed into the photo so I’m just as confused as everyone else.
Now im curious how you print with coffee
I've got some videos on it if your interested.
caffenol is a curious thing
Loool
It would be interesting to put this in a pinhole camera, leave it out for a few days (maybe a week or two?) and see if you can capture the motion of the sun
I might just have to try that!
What….! Are you doing?!? 😅
tbh I have no idea
@@DeclanDoesCameraThings Haha. Keep it up in any case. Enjoyable. I’ll have to look into this coffee printing mayhem. My printer sucks too.
You're a maniac, and this is pointless. Fantastic work, keep 'em coming!
Keep at it mate, the pictures are very good already. You'll only get better from here.
i wish you were in los angeles so we could hang out =/
Good work man, keep it up 👏
For a camera channel this video is surprisingly out of focus. No hard feelings though, you can do better next time.
Yea, the camera doesn't auto-focus for video, so if I forget to check focus, then...well...that happens
@@DeclanDoesCameraThings I didn't notice
Wow you got a good deal. You must be a pro bargain hunter. Are you a hybrid shooter? Do you adapt any vintage lenses?
I mostly like to shoot film photos, but if I can ever get my hands on a well equipped video camera I would love to start filmmaking. As for lenses, I've wanted to 3d print adapters for quite some time now. I'll be sure to post about it if I do!
holy crap this video is underrated
Not me almost having a heart attack at you pulling out the film
It’s okay
But film can record red...
35mm film - even B&W - is chemically designed to be "pan-chromatic" meaning it darkens under any visible color, whereas B&W paper has a "sensory fall off" - if you will. This characteristic could be removed, but it lets you see what you're doing so we kept it.
Isn't that a microphone? Why is it a "fake" Polaroid? That company is dead, sure and it's reanimated so it's name can be used to sell OEM stuff but the product can't be described as fake
I called it fake because, being that the camera was made after polaroid was defunct but before the "impossible project", the camera was not really made or designed by anyone at polaroid.
I thought i misremembered, but isn't it CYGM, four color Bayer filter? That aside, I like your demonstration of the how the subtractive nature of this filter resulted in better luminance rather than color accuracy. I've always mentally disputed the Wikipedia pronouncement of this because...why shouldn't a four color filter produce more accurate color results?
The sensor is at the terminal stage of it's life. It is suffering from the infamous Sony sensor fault of those years. Affected a lot of cameras that used those Sony sensors
You keep throwing things.
Personally i make 8x16" negs on acetate and contact print to home-made emulsion on glass. Make your own paper!!! My fave mono paper was ilford Galerie Gold MG FB (multigrade fibrebase) ... in a class of its own.
the zoom on your face is gold :)
I forgot to mention that if you use salt fixer, you need to let each photo fix over night.
Very interesting to see the *positive* images on the roll of film!
Keep up the good work!!
thank you yt algorithm
i watched both videos and i still dont get it. Can you make another one?
Yes, more and better stuff is coming.
Dankpods camera edition
I watched a video in the past that I can't remember the source of, it was a guy creating his own photographic film or something, all I can remember is him positioning the film inside a small dark chamber and leaving it there for a while to capture a Photograph. If anyone has any idea what the name of the channel is, I'm all ears.
Cody'sLab once took a photograph of a fork in a dark room using radioactive rocks
70 views? MYTHICAL YT RECOMENDATION PULL
damn i didnt know that gotta love the yt algoritm suddenly deciding to give me this one and i was not disapointed
Same
You’re very underrated!
No idea how this video came across me feed but im glad it did, i designed a 3D printed pinhole camera some time ago. It oiginally was supposed to take Polaroid's but it was just too hard to roll them. I was thinking of using tin-typing but this seems way more approachable! I wonder if simmering the turmeric lightly in alcohol would concentrate the pigment more?
Cool stuff! I didn't have much luck using the turmeric in a camera, but it's worth trying especially if you try simmering it (it'd still probably need hours of exposure though). I might also suggest using photographic paper with caffenol developer. Anyway, I wish you luck!
Let me know what I should use that big turmeric sheet for!
3d printed stencils!
Title is "I finally got to shoot with my 3D printed camera" I Wish there was more about the 3d printed camera
I talk more about the camera itself in an older video.
Unique filming style
😳 'Promosm'
Quite interesting. I believe you can also hold the paper above a candle and the lemon juice gets brown before the paper reacts to the flame.
did you fix the film? or only developer?
I developed in caffenol and fixed with Ilford rapid fixer.
@@DeclanDoesCameraThings Ok i was worried that you skipped fixer lol
I love your passion for film. keep it up
unfortunately the music is annoying af.
my siblings agree!
This is the only videos I’ve watched of yours, but it reminds me of DankPods’ videos
Thank you! I get lots of inspiration from him.
