The mind is willing but the Flesh is weak . Trust is a problem , and going out alone is a no no at 76 yrs . Age is just a number I agree but when you haveChronic Disease it is a damper and one is vulnerable and wary of Socialising. Illness grounds one and having dreams or goals are harder to achieve .

Thank you I needed that encouragement and boost tonight . My heart is heavy with sadness of a lot of my life lost because a Covert/ Narcissist who CHOSE, schemed and plotted to break me when I was trying to rear my 5 children keep a happy home and nurture a Loving Environment for us all to grow and prosper in. My days are numbered now I cannot share all the love that has been denied me by a sad pitiful person who begrudged me my very being. I like being free but I did not deserve the life I was dealt with an entity I could not comprehend or could ever have envisaged . There is an emptiness within me, a void . Thank God I now have 16 grandchildren heaven sent to fill that void and show me love more pure and real than the Fakeness of a Covert/ Narcissist who tried to ruin me. I rose up and became a Warrior to save my Soul. I could not have done it without my Faith and Hope in God . He give me Strength to fight the Good Fight and Survive . However a lot of those lost years I could have shared my life with a decent Loving Partner are gone. I feel so sad of what might have been.

I needed to hear this so much today. Im facing this right now and coming to grips with it. Im finally setting boundaries with an adult child and it is excruciatingly painful but I have to for all the reasons you have mentioned. I have given hundreds of chances for years because I’m a loving mom. I now realize I was allowing them to continue hurting me. Im 65 and can not accept this any longer. It’s enough. I’m heartbroken and it hurts but I finally set boundaries. I had to for myself. Im so very sad but will be okay. Thank you 🙏🏻 I plan on listening to this daily.
