I vehemently disagree with your “inferior text” insinuation. I have an ESV, LSB, NKJV, NLT & KJV.. In fact, I was saved reading an ESV many years ago. And although I would never condemn nor avoid fellowship over a Bible translation, I absolutely love my KJV and read it every day. It is my Rock and Foundation.

Greek was the lingua franca in Jerusalem and throughout Judea. Aramaic was a northern language. Aramaic in Jerusalem would have been out of place; therefore, Jesus had to speak Greek in the hill country. Whenever he returned to Galilee and the Samaritan regions, the Aramaic would have come in handy.

In Leviticus 10:1-2 with the story of Nadab and Abihu, it says that "fire went out from the Lord and devoured them." This seems to me to imply that The Lord was dwelling in the Tabernacle at that time. Prior to the events of Nadab and Abihu, and Leviticus 16 where the Day of Atonement is established, did the Lord dwell in the Tabernacle all of the time?

Did not the early Christians, who spoke the same language as Paul, understand this passage to mean that a woman should wear a veil or artificial covering on her head? The earliest Christian artwork (which admittedly is a century or two latter) seems to indicate this, and the writings of the early Church Fathers seem to indicate an artificial covering was the practice of the early Church. Women's fashion in the western world from the time of Constantine until the early 20th century always incorporated a hat, bonnet or veil into women's normal dress. This wasn't an issue until women began to rebel against the authority of men in the early 20th century.

Should you call a person that chooses to primarily read one translation of the Bible over others a cult, no. Should you read other translations, including the Greek text to validate or correct translation errors, yes. So instead of debating and slandering others over which translation they read, perhaps we should all diligently study the Bible, the origin of texts, and history of scripture. At the end of the day this will become a stumbling block to those who will not or cannot begin to understand the deeper things of scripture. We can go in circles debating which Bible translation is correct, but if we never actually read our bibles, then are we actually Christians?

Ummm... I can read the 1611 just fine. In fact, it's my preferred text. And yes, the KJV updated the typographical format. So what? They are still the same sounding words with the same exact meaning... Is this supposed to be some kind of mic drop statement? Am I supposed to be shaking in my boots?
