Natural State Rebels
United States
Приєднався 6 тра 2021
We are from the natural state (Arkansas) and have sold our home and most belongings in order to get back to a true natural state of living. To do this, we are buying a used Class A Motorhome / RV and rigging it up with solar power and water filtration to dry camp or 'boondock' off grid as much as possible. Follow along with us as we're documented the entire process! We hope to inspire others to be a rebel and get back to what's truly important in life.

Hibachi Fried Rice on a Blackstone Grill While Living Full Time in an RV
There was an outlaw named Sid Swasey who escaped the posse by jumping a 12 ft gap on his horse over the Dirty Devil canyon. The canyon is hundreds of feet deep. Riding a horse on slickrock with steel horseshoes is not for cowards.
What do you do when a cartel swipes an oil tanker, there have been many stolen this year alone.During the investigation, deputies were advised that a tractor truck hauling a water tanker had entered an oilfield lease and had possibly taken crude oil from a tank battery without the consent of the oilfield company.
We probably wouldn't be aware that it was a theft as it was happening. However we would have a picture of them and the truck and trailer along with a timestamp of when they stole it. If they blew past the gate without stopping, they'd be caught quickly because we'd call our supervisor and he'd quickly get the police involved.
Do you carry ?
great video
Thank you 😊.
What’s the pay? I hope it’s better than the $5.63/hr or $135/day (12 years ago) like the gentleman stated in the comments?😬
The average pay is $200 per day for a 24/7 gate. Some pay $250 and some pay up to $300 but those are the super busy gates. I think the 12 hour gates pay around $135 - $150 per day. On most of those they provide a guard shack that you work out of. A person should also consider that all utilities are provided which is a $400- $600 per month value. Also consider that you're not actually 'working' all of the time. At night, we only had maybe 10 vehicles come through at the most.
I’m going to say something that might take the rest of your life to realize. The very beginning of this excellent video, I want you to only focus on that glorious God-given sunset. It’s not caused by the spinning of earth. No no. It’s caused by the sun leaving your area and taking the light with it. God Bless.
The good ole West TX sky is beautiful. Everything has changed so much in all of Martin County. I lived in Stanton for many years left in 96, unrecognizable now.
We stayed 2 nights in Stanton.
Reminds me alot of what I used to do in the military guarding nukes. The difference is we would be rolling around in humvee to inspect sites and the rest of time chill because nothing happens. I liked it because it was peaceful, quiet, and I could go back to school if I wanted to (sadly I didn't back then) but instead played lots of video games.
Amazing how fast my post went down when I spoke about gam ing .
And how it's destroying young people's lives.
@stevethomas5209 how so?
@@infini.tesimo I posted more info on how v games are hindering people from being productive in life. But they took it down. Otherwise you would have been able to get what I was talking about. They will probably block this post as well.
@@stevethomas5209 so I didn't say this but instead of going to school I tried to run a fitness clothing brand which did take off for a while before I shut it down after I left the service. Video games never stopped me from time management...
This was the most helpful video on this kit that I could find, appreciate it! Awesome one guys
You're very welcome. Glad we could help.
When I worked as a GG they paid us ~$135 a day . They furnished a generator for 24\7 power and a large septic tank we emptied our tanks into ! That was 12 years previous .
@@Cyrus_The_Virus_00$5.63/hr? That’s robbery!!
Do they provide you with a guard shack that is heated and cooled so you don't have sit inside your RV when it's cold and hot ?
You only get a guard shack for 12 hour gates. For 24 hour gates you have to have an rv .
I didn't last 2 days sucks not good so now iam a rn love from eagle pass Texas
Hey I just discovered you. We are full time rvers. But right now I'm a truck driver, I'm so ready to get back to RVing but I still need to work some. Maybe this is something I need to check into
Glad you found us. If you want to do this, just email Maria Lopez at Guard 1. Her email address is mlopez@guard1services.com. Tell her we referred you (Shane and Susan Wood) and she'll be happy to help you out. They're always needing gate guards.
The last gate guard I seen was in AB Canada about two months ago. I had to wake her up 😂 fyi I’m from TX but work the American continental.
Lol. Sometimes it's hard to stay awake.
Are they hiring by chance this doesn’t sound bad
They're always hiring. Send Maria Lopez at Guard 1 an email and let her know that Shane and Susan Wood sent you. She'll get you started. Her email address is mlopez@guard1services.com
Sorry to ask....does each shift sleep in same beds?
We only have 1 bed. We do sleep in it but not at the same time. Someone has to be working at all times.
How are the hook ups? Fresh water, black and grey water?
Generator provided at least 50 amps. 350 gallon fresh water tank. The water is decent. I think the sewer tank was 250 gallons. They came out once a week to empty the sewer and refill the water tank as needed.
Lots of thieves out there and you can’t trust anyone anymore, x hands are the worse Stay safe and alert, yell back at the coyotes 😊😊😊
HEB STANDS FOR HERE EVERYTHING BETTER
Lol. Accurate
Are you guys getting paid a day rate or hourly! I used to be a directional driller and visit with gate guards on my way out and back in and would bring them stuff from the store if they needed it. I was last about 25 miles south of Midland, but have been all over...
Daily rate. We've had a few people bring us food and offer to pick up things from town which is always very much appreciated.
@@NaturalStateRebelsI AllWAYS ask if they need anything but usually I got to get back to shop 😊
@NaturalStateRebels how much a day for the 2 of yall?
Do they still pay you a per Diem for each day besides your daily rate ?
Would you say there are a lot of positions like this available and if so is it just in Texas are there other states that are drilling a lot of rigs right now? My husband and I are about to retir. How long does one job last usually do you contract with them for the full amount of time that they guard the gate how long is a guard the gate and even after it starts producing lots of questions I have so many questions lol sorry
Very interesting to me, I love watching stuff like this. Your job is cool and easy unless it rains, but I am looking forward to the next video.
Thank you! We appreciate you watching and the encouraging comment.
Is this a 1099 or W2 position

#1 Job is to keep all salesmen off the location. Salesmen need to go see management at the local or nearest office. Smart servicemen will bring a styrofoam ice-chest full of cold sodas for the crew.
We've been on 3 gates so far for 2 different companies. This is the first one that didn't tell us to reject the salespeople so we let them through. There's only been a few.
@@NaturalStateRebels tell them to bring you drinks and snacks!

THANK YOU!!
Great video !
Thank you!
It is just my opinion, but cold beetroot soup with baked or boiled beetroot is much better tasting than the one with pickled beetroot. I think that pickled beetroot trend was started by all kinds of bistros and restaurants who wanted cheap and quick way to get beetroot for their soup.
Convection oven baking is great.
We have grown to love it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Why can't we get an HEB in Texarkana???
Howard Butt's Jr. Was supposed to be CEO, taking over for his parents. But he and his brother, Charles, discussed it and decided Charles had more of a business mind. So Charles became the CEO. Older brother Howard, ran the ministry side of the business. H-E-B owns a retreat center for instance. Howard Jr. Wrote a book too. Basically autobiographical involving several evangelists, including Billy Graham. I use to go to the same church Howard attended and I have a signed copy of it.
That's interesting. Thanks 😊
Great video y'all!! Thanks for the idea. We may do that to our refrigerator.
Thank you. Go for it. It wasn't really difficult

My wife and I love Fredericksburg, it's one of our favorite vacation spots. (Especially the "Rocking R" Cabins!) So glad y'all did a video showing both The Burg and Luckenbach! We've been here for 15 years now since I retired from Fort Hood. When we first arrived in Texas it was my personal mission to visit Luckenbach first as a tribute for my Father and to live out one of his favorite songs from Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson! We're proud to have made Texas our home. As the wife always says, "The Army may have brought us here, but HEB has kept us from leaving." Enjoyed your video! Hope to see more in the future!
We loved it too. The only problem we had was that we only had 1 day to take in both towns (impossible). But that gives us plenty of reasons to go back and spend lots of time. I can see why people love that area so much. Thanks for watching!
I didn’t enjoy seeing the Rattlesnake signs.
Yeah, that kinda ruins the fun if you constantly have to watch for rattlesnakes.
Can only couple do it or can singles as well?
Both. Singles can do a 12 hour shift. Couples can do 24 hour shifts.
Vai um like aqui do Brasil para vc .Valeu 😊😊😊
hi, it was amazing show, had a blast watching it :) I am Lithuanian, at one point you asked for very strange dish of our kitchen and they mentioned Vėdarai, but there is way worse one "Kraujiniai vėdarai" (it requires fresh blood of an animal) used to eat it as a child in village. that one is definitely hardest to try but actually many countries have them as blood sosage (similar dish) also if you like cold smoked meed, try "Skilandis" (can easily youtube it how it is made it does require a lot of time though as it has to dry for 2-3months). Also one amazing dish is "žemaičių blynai" definitely the one I love the most with mushroome souse. And very good and popular one is "Balandėliai" (means pidgeons, but has nothing related to that animal), not interialy Lithuanian but very popular in here brought by merchanaries in 1300-1400 AC from Ukraine (Caraim) is "Kibinai" amazing thing, Also "Cepelinai" good luck to your channel!
Glad you enjoyed the video. It's one of our favorite videos to make. Those are some great suggestions although the animal blood dish sounds like it would be super hard to try. 🤢😄
@@NaturalStateRebels you really should try the "Kraujiniai vėdarai" its really good i used to eat it a LOT especially with sour cream. You cant even taste the blood 😊
