This is gel, but not polish. It’s a thicker gel called builder in a bottle purely used for building structure on a nail. Gel polish is thinner consistency, more runny and for applying colour.

I have a video for this on my page I’m pretty sure. If I don’t I’ll tell you anyway. I use a teabag (empty the contents of it) you cut a tiny square that will cover the crack. When you’re at the prep stage (removed all previous product -or a lot of it) you apply base coat and put the piece of tea bag in the base coat. It slides around but just make sure it gets saturated and it’ll stay put. Cure it. Then do your fill like normal. I recommend finish filing because it’ll likely be a bit lumpy. But then you’re good to go.

Sure you just don’t need to build them up as much since we don’t really use our toes like we do fingers. You can just apply a couple of coats on the toes to add a bit of strength.

It definitely does and if you notice air bubbles I just move my brush in a circular motion on the nail until they pop.

I had to translate to English. But practice makes perfect. When I first started mine didn’t last either. I don’t know what changed. Usually you just get better - not hitting the sides with product. Wipe the dust off with alcohol before you fill. It’s also possible you have oily nail beds. If that’s the case when you are at the stage where you’ve buffed the surface of the nail (etched it a bit) remove the dust with alcohol. Then you can dehydrate with a little bit of acetone. Let it dry completely. Apply some primer. Then go in with your basecoat.

In this video I do not think I did. But you can between coats. But when you are on the step where you’re adding builder you want to apply a base layer. Leave it wet. Then go in with your bigger blob to make structure.

I like it, it works well for me and my clients. The viscosity is nice and easy to work with. Practice is the biggest factor with gel but I do admit. Good quality gel makes a big difference.

I have done it before successfully when I didn't have a choice but it is not recommended. Acetone can affect the formula and quality of the gel. They do have gel polish thinners made for that exact purpose. I used the acetone temporarily until I was able to purchase gel polish thinner.😊

I have never added acetone, I read the comment below and this person is correct it can change the formula. I’ve only ever done this to nail polish not gel polish. For gel, if it’s clumpy you can try placing some super hot water in a bowl then stick the bottle in it to warm it up for a few minutes then take it out and shake it around to mix the product back up.

I buff before I apply the top coat that I want to have the chrome stick to. So everywhere else is buffed and then the top coat is the only thing the chrome will stick to. Does that make sense?

Top coat. Cured 60 seconds. I used to do 45 seconds but found it was never even enough. After applying chrome I file the edges so when I top coat again it sticks to the edges.

For cuticle oil I’ve also used Cuccio and it’s good. I’ve also made my own!
