Hot tip, you can do this while in read only mode if the inputs leading up to the frame you're searching for are complex! You can also frame advance several frames, like in groups of 2 frames or 3 or 5, etc. If the area you're looking for covers a wide range and you're trying to narrow it down. An example could be finding the first frame a cutscene can be skipped when there's no visual indication.

I think this is related to the warp bug which is related to out of bounds being detected in random tiny zones in the stage? I might be making this up.

Trying to pick something up with negative fspd causes you to play out the animation without slowing down much, at the end of the animation you get action 0, meaning you and whistle or whatever.

Posting this so I can remember in the future that it's something I tested. I had 15.99 cardinal speed here, so it's literally impossible to go any faster. in that axis. I was hoping I could jump straight into the lost Chao, but it's simply too high up. Also the ending of the video is funny.

I don't know why it happens exactly, but this glitch is the result of some weird physics quirk in sonic adventure 2: If your character is standing on heavily sloped ground, jumping into an object with "pushable collision" (you enter the pushing animation when you walk into it) will convert all of your horizontal speed into vertical speed. So charging a spindash and then jumping against this box (from a sloped piece of ground) will cause all of the spindash speed to convert to vertical speed and send Shadow launching 'upwards'. The jump goes especially high, that's because for the first 60 frames of a jump that the A button is held, your vertical deceleration is heavily dampened, so you retain a lot of speed for the first second.

yeah, this is referred to as "light show", because if you're playing the game on console (rather than emulator) the screen will flicker a bunch of colours as the result of the camera not functioning. It's a byproduct of the glitch and can be fixed by certain cutscenes. People commonly use the save station in gathering hall to fix the bug.
@@itsPersonnal2 Yeah I figured that out, thanks though, I just saw some people unmorph without issue like in trilogy versions, anyway info on this game are hard to find
