The stabbing animations are so brutal. The animators really decided to improve the quality on those. 1:48 and 2:08 make me flinch every time. Also, friendly reminder that these kids are between the ages of 12 and 14. You know, to make it even more horrible.

Pendant longtemps, je pensais que le français ne se prêtait pas bien à des phrases "stylées" pour des anime ou des choses comme ça, et que ça fait souvent beaucoup plus cringe. Code Lyoko est la preuve qu'en fait non : c'est souvent moins stylé en française parce que c'est souvent pas la VO. Quand le français est la VO (et que c'est bien fait), ça marche mieux en français qu'en anglais (ou en japonais, même avec Code Lyoko ça va être compliqué de comparer). Translation for the non-francophone out here who don't want to Google-translate : I used to think that French didn't really work for delivering "badass" lines in anime or things like that, and that it often sounds cringer (more cringe ? I guess cringer is technically more correct but it just sounds odd xd) Code Lyoko is proof of the contrary : the reason french one-liners often don't work is because they're usually in a dub. When French is the original language of the show (provided it's well-made), it _does_ work better in French than in English (or even Japanese, even though it's gonna be hard to compare with Code Lyoko).
