I have a 2016 Premium SRX with Xenon HID headlights. One bulb for low and high beam. My left light went out (message from DIC “Left Low Beam Failure). Checking the fuses couldn’t find any issues. And trying to avoid removing the bumper to gain access to the headlight bulb. You were showing how to replace the low beam Halogen bulb on the left side by removing the fuse box cover. I would like to think I could do the same with the Xenon HID bulb. I believe the headlight assembly is different between the Halogen and HID headlights. Welcome other subscribers who had success in replacing the Xenon HID bulb by the method Eli had shown on his UA-cam presentation.

Fresh air is worst 99.99% of the time, especially in city. All I smell is pollution after pollution. Infact, I only use recycled air 100% of the time.

mine shows the service real axle i already changed the rear diff fluid can someone tell me anything else that i should change the light didn't go away

My issue is that when I use the circulate air the car change it automatically to fresh air and most of the time I get smoke from trucks in my car why it keep doing that?

Great video - thanks! I did about the same, except I used a different pair of headlights…unfortunately, when I transferred my bulbs into the new assemblies, I found the actual bulb assembly within each headlamp housing would “move” as I was installing the bulb. I would “wiggle” it, once the bulb was in place, I could press the back of the bulb and adjust/move the actual bulb assembly within the entire headlamp housing. I had to return them as defective and have not yet purchased another set (out of fear of another poor quality component). So, what do you think Eli, are these assemblies “still” good and recommended by you a month later…?

Did you feel the quality of these was worth purchasing? I bought a set off Amazon, different than these, but the “assembly” inside the entire housing, the part that “holds” the actual headlight bulb, moved. It was not “solid”, it would “move” if I pushed it. Do you believe the “quality” of these is worth purchasing?

Did you leave all those wires you cut and didn’t use bare or did you put tape or something over them so they don’t short out if they touch metal in your dash

Hey, do you know if 2014 srx's hold on well after 100.000 km? I want to have an older luxuary car instead of a newer not-luxuary car for my first vehicle

Verify your belt routing and then remove it and spin all your pulleys individually. If there is a mechanical fault, you should feel it. Also, a worn tensioner can allow the belt to touch where it shouldn't but you should be able to see that. Take your time and good luck.

How do you close both vents for each button?

I just followed your instructions, but I didn't cut the OEM harness either. The only thing that helped more than anything is hooking up the ACC power. I did take my voltmeter and measured out every connector in the OEM harness. It looks like Ford does it with a data send instead of a +12V up for their OEM systems. I went and got a "Littelfuse Blister Pack Fuse Holder - FHM200BP" from O'Reilly's near me for just a few dollars, then I piggy backed it on the 10A fuse in position #37 since that one was only going high when the ACC was turned on. Everything else was wired through an after market harness that I actually learned how to rewire the harness myself to match my 2008 Escape XLT. Your video was very informative and it is what gave me the ideas to get it all fixed! Next up, Backup Cam! :D

Please when you are doing this please put down a towel or something because that concrete will scratch up the new lenses to much money to mess them up but I really did enjoy the video because I need to do the same thing to mine.

I ended up changing out the entire headlight assembly and found the ballast at the bottom of the light was completely fried from water. I changed everything out and the lights work now but still get error message to check low beam , anyone know how to clear that message?
