Shakespeare more for the buck was there saying,, Ernie made some real nice bows. ernie root ben pearson fred bear... if you get a good condition vintage there pretty nice but prices seem to be going up.... i tell ya a low end bow that is really in hand and to shoot if set up wrongly right,,,black bear but 40 45# marked bows not so much...but 50 55 60# are very nice shooters....id say my 1970s black bear is 1 of my favorite bows... everyone wants a grizzly or a supper kodiak or a tigercat or kodiak hunter....im down loading a video at present of the black bear....just stay 50# bow marked weight if not there to weak and dont shoot as well.......really like my Blackbear in hand weight shoot ability and looks....ill be blackbear hunting 2025..

its nice in hand nice amo smooth draw nice carry weight..forgiving as a long bow ..damn good hunting bow...those where my first target shots with the bow..i shot it a few times with 425 grain carbons to see the speed 180 but other then that,, pure simple seems pretty damn nice ps 2025 1967 wonderbow takes state record mule buck🙂

🙂 i couldnt even think about shooting trad bows with b50 b55 strings a couple years ago..i had to run d97 on them to be able to enjoy shooting them.... im a refusal for surgeries do to to much bone damage,,,i have crushed nerves in my back and bad joints from doing things in my younger years...i would get in so much pain from mild hand shock i couldnt shoot but i could then grab my 67 bear grizzly with a d 97 and soon the pain would leave....im better then i was so i can shoot b50 strings now but i preferer d97🙂

better the bow breaks then me...ha

my new hunter i had 2022..it started to indent the gray glass on the bottom of the string grove gash...d97 bow but the gash...well thats why the new hunters are noisy,,,but i amagine you will see new hunters with glass cracks starting on the back by the gashes....in time

i like the hunters i think there a great bow for a long draw guy.....i just wish they wouldnt gash the ends of the bow with a deep string grove just a nice shallow even but if i get another ill just cut a peace of rubber and put in on the gash....id like to get a 60# 2000 model kodiak hunter

i put on a video... traditional comparison 70s yukon 70s black bear 67 necedah......kida shows the bow ends

i see more vintage bows damaged from b50 b55 the shock shaking causes the glass to crack in the limbs from vibration by the riser .. ive never had a bow end go bad and ive never had a bow limb start cracking from vibration with a d97 but i guess it could happen..

i use b50 strings on bows that have the deep cut string grove..if not to noisy...they shouldnt be cutting those deep gashes in them makes for a very uneven slap... i normally pass on the 70s bows that have the deep gash string groves

@ yes it is definitely crazy for sure!!!!!!! That’s why poor people like me are buying the overseas bows The majority of them are under $200 in my opinion just as well built and shoot just as well as these high dollar Bows. Don’t get me know there are some really nice bows out there. I would not mind having a few of them, but the price is definitely crazy. Unfortunately, everything in the US meaning US made is high dollar but the wages we make do not compare to that cost, then also you have people on UA-cam that buy one of those cheaper bows and review it in their video they will say I can’t believe this bow is only $60 $70 $80. Up to $150 Man They could be selling it for $300. Why say that that’s why we buy those cheaper bows we don’t wanna pay that high price man they will start raising their price as well just say man this is a fantastic bow for that price.
