Always glad that folks find videos helpful. I just love sims and share whatever I'm doing. Wishing you lots of fun in the skies whichever way you choose. I recently paid for A Pilot's Life Ch. 2 which is focused on a commercial career so that is one of my current flight sim tools. I also have a few series from my virtual airlines which are some flights to share as well. Thanks for subscribing.

I recently thought I'd try airliners (I've been flying the Longitude) and got the FBW A320 Neo but can't seem to get the click spots to work on it or the Asobo A320 either. The "up" and "down" clickspots to go from Managed to Selected don't show and I can't switch between modes. I tried in both the MS install and the Steam install (don't ask why I have both!). Any thoughts?

@@tomjanzen9278 I had not used click spots on the FBW. On the PMDG 737 there is a TOGA clickspot that I use but on FBW I try to set the throttles on the CLMB detent manually. Have not tried it since I picked up a flight stick used so might have issues as before it was just buttons on my Xbox controller.

I think I still don't understand exactly how it works and if it's really useful, because the mod simply sold my field that I had bought in a previous auction. I don't know if we can actually keep the field or if we have to sell it, because if you buy it at auction for 50k, after the auction it will increase in value and you can sell it for double or triple the value.

@@OlhaEuAquiNovamente Interesting. I rarely use the mods I notice as it would just be too chaotic to keep changing things in my saves so cannot comment on any experience I have had with it.

Yes that is what I was looking at. What is the "double demotion line" and how is it determined?

@@thematuresimmer4359 I believe you get a demotion mark if you are in the bottom 20% and you get double demotion marks when you are in the bottom 10%. If you make a cut you clear one of your demotion marks.

@@thematuresimmer4359 no, I'm saying I had similar swings on Sunday night in a practice round. I was speculating that there was something on the server that affected us. Purs speculation of course. I just find it strange that we both experienced similar swings at approximately the same time.

Yes, but what I am unclear on is something earns you two demotion marks a week. I was unclear how that happens reading the rules.

@@jdksportsyt Oh is that the only way? That's not how I read it, it seemed it was score based. This is what it says "Below double demotion line = -2 movement marks" Yes withdrawing is the same but you get -2 for something else.

My struggle is putting good rounds together consistently. The bad swings keep happening and my process is not letting me be consistent. Until I resolve that I will keep failing.

Maybe but professional drivers are not in the habit or running over cones so I'd prefer not to.

It may be more of a real simulation. Rarely I'll delve into that. There is a cost/benefit for any of us. I do not want to play a truck sim where I need to check all my tires, go eat in the diner, take time to go to the bathroom, unzip my fly etc. Farming is the same thing. Writing the check to the bank for my mortgage and all the other admin work being ridiculously modeled turn it from a sim to a job. Master is damn hard enough for me. Happy that putting is easy for you, but it's still not that for me. I get what you are saying to some degree. I've tried golf in real life decades ago. I'm far too frugal to have taken it up as a hobby. You only get even marginally decent by spending thousands on greens fees to play a round or two or more a week. I refused to get involved with that. I'm OK with it being arcadey. Obviously even with that I can't compete well enough to get a tour card. If I ever become a Platinum of Kinetic league member maybe I'll be ready for more challenge.

Thanks Don. Keep chugging away. You have to miss the cut a few times to lose the spot in the league so even if this event is poor, you're not back outside the play area with me yet.

@@thematuresimmer4359 yes, I'll keep going for sure. I played rounds 3 and 4 - not sure if I'll post the videos since they won't count. Shot a +2 and a -3, so would be a completely different story if round 1 was similar!

@@SimWithDon Just did round 4. It was awful. It's nice that it lets you play even if cut to get in the practice.

I'll not dismiss out of hand but not seeing any joy in going from 1.83x (which is what TGC Tours settings place us at) and cranking to 2.5x. Sure that's Legend or beyond. I can tell you right now I will do terribly as I can't shoot 10-15 under rounds now so I'm a pretty useless test. So like I said, not dismissing it, but right now chance I do this are in the single digits percentage wise. Far too many things to enjoy in the sim world and no need to make a fool of myself. Plenty of UA-camrs out there who base their channels on being a fool. I'm not one of them so you just might need to go find someone else.

Perhaps. I'd call this selling out. Basically I'd be doing it because he said he'd recommend the channel, not because I would enjoy it. One of my main differences here is that I do not do that over-the-top hype, crazy, fake feeling performance most UA-cam gaming channels do. I state that pretty clearly in the channel trailer. You want that there are thousands of channels out there for you. I just play sims seriously. Sure I might have some fun now and then, but it's not to grab viewers because my video went viral for something stupid. Anyway, as you can tell, my interest level in this humiliation request is pretty low. If people subscribe because they like what I am doing I am forever grateful. I'm not looking for subscribers from a stunt. We've got enough people in this world doing things because someone told them it would get them more power even though it's against their nature, I've never been one of those.

I do take practice swings. I just edit them out of the video. My tempo just leaves me sometimes.

I have not yet, but may be getting that in a few weeks. A Pilot's Life is really commercial airliner focused. It also is not free, so that is why I had not tried it. I only tried the programs that were free or had a trial (On Air). I did not due Air Hauler 2 or A Pilot's Life v2 for those reasons. Air Hauler is more cargo based it seems. So depending on what you want it will drive things. The thing that is intriguing me about Pilot's Life is the schedule generation versus selection that you have do here in Neofly, but Neofly lets you do GA aircraft.

I just used it the other day (last week) so wondering if you have something in settings? I was able to get the airline names appearing. It could possibly have some issues with Update 4 but I have not seen them.

@@thematuresimmer4359 I actually got it sorted. The website has a very old version. I realized this and somehow got on Discord. LOL. Then I found V0.5.2.028. I thought this was the latest verions as I'm totally new to Discord too. I ran into this issue and really starting going through all the post etc. Found a link for 24139 which is the latest. It's all good now. :D Thank you!

If you mean in the tower, do not think you can, they are on the monitors. You can bring up them in windows on views outside which is how I tend to play. I never sit in the tower.

press the 3D radar button to get cam only. Then select ADIRS and DBRITE from bottom buttons. Move the TS3 tool over your game, it will stay on top. Resize windows to your liking and you're all set

Yes the slower it rolls the more break it takes. One of the other creators JDK asked me to look at talked about that. So will try to keep that in mind. But as I'm not a pro that has been a struggle for me, keeping all the variables together at once.

That's what I meant exactly. And I am great there (again RB not GH, GH is trash in comparison, just saying) able to immediately play a new song on expert difficulty and get in the high 90% first time, so yes I get tempo. I just don't use that word with golf while it is the same. So that's why I never talk about it. It's timing to me and what you hear. But yes, I get it. Executing on it is my issue and with practice it will get better. But I still need to know, are you physically pausing for a second or more between the "back to housing front to housing" prefect tempo swing? The "two heartbeats" is what I'm trying to understand.

@@thematuresimmer4359 First, PLEASE just turn the power meter on and play around with it. It gives you literal real-time feedback on exactly where the power is at any given moment in the backswing. This should assist you a lot. Keep one eye on the power meter and just practice "down" until you see 100% and get a feel for the rumble at that point. Get a feel of the very first frame you feel rumble and where the dial is at. Playing around with this will help you get the feel immensely. I bring this up because (this is hard work I've done on my own) you're talking about "holding" the stick down and apparently you are not aware A) the game recognizes and starts the power dial pretty much as soon as it senses a down input. I mean, I haven't tested it but it's like you breathe on the stick and the power starts scaling. And 2) the 100% power window is like 1-3 frames long. Turn the GD power meter on and "hold" it. Blink and you'll miss 100% and be into 103%+ quick, pal. Not only that, there is clearly a certain threshold the stick has to travel from 6'oclock to register the backswing. So you need to factor this travel time into your power. So, there is no "hold and wait", it's timing. I said I "slide" the top half of the pad of my thumb down the face of the stick towards the rim at 6'o clock. I bend my thumb at the joint, it's more like "RUBBING" than sliding. I rub down on the bottom face of the stick and like I said I time this rub towards that 6'oclock position w/ the rumble. Again, when you go "down" the "pace" you do it is how you sync up w/ 100%. So the backswing is really a combination of not only measuring 100% power but at the same time getting my thumb into the right position to fire the downswing. Like in a real golf swing, you break it down into parts and from the beginning or work backwards even. There are multiple components to the "swing". Anyways... yeah I practiced a lot to hypothesize this stuff and I'm still just a small fry in TGC. There are LEVELS to this. It's all about how much work are you willing to put in. I mean SERIOUS work.

@@jdksportsyt I will go ahead and try with power meter on so so what you said. Again, this round, tomorrow's round and all the regular rounds into the 14th or so are all in the can already a week ago so I see the comments but you will not see anything change for 7-10 days most times. OK so "waiting" was only because it seems like your "2 heartbeats" in your swing was a wait and yes that confused me because I know that will increase power. I would rather not wait. Anyway you are saying the power meter will make it all clear so I will try to look at that today and certainly over the weekend. I will always be a small fry in TGC. I'm past the point in my life that I have enough free time to obsess for much. I get as much time as I can while also enjoying the 30 other sims I enjoy at the moment too. That's why I'm not a golf only set of content. Far too many exciting things out there.

@@thematuresimmer4359 Honestly, there are no excuses. You're trying to "hang" in the Tour de France and you don't even know how to ride a bike. You have a lot of work to do, it's non-negotiable. If you don't have time, you can just watch on TV like everyone else but if you wanna be on TV... well... so put the traning wheels on (the power meter which ive asked for months) and start doing laps before the next tournament. Not just doing a practice round, learn how how to ride the bike.

I get it but as you said even you're on the Tour just because they need someone to fall back to the car and get the water bottles for everyone else. We're all just trying to "hang" at this point. So one day hope to make the team as you have. I'm OK being the low man on the totem pole, still pays far better than sitting on the couch. I of course love your can do attitude to this but as we said we can all aspire to be Pogacar but sometimes no matter what we do we just don't have the capability.

Yeah I suck at lingo. So yes I get the concept of tempo and would like to say I get it but results show otherwise. Am I searching for a process that works such as the one you found? Of course. When I say "it felt" odd, I do feel I can usually tell when the tempo is off. You see it a lot in when I try to do partials because that Golden Tee smoothness you analogize with tends to be rushed. Because I had to have a stunted backswing it turns into a quick upswing, and voila very fast. I get the metronome thing. Tempo for me is a musical concept not a sports concept but I get your meaning. If I am playing a song and suddenly speed up or slow down unexpectedly the song sounds odd. Similarly with the swing. I need to stay at 60 bpm all the time and not fluctuate at 60 bpm to 80 to 50 to 100. Rhythm in music? Spot on so not like I can't count in time etc. Go back to the examples when I talked about Rock Band. You need to strum at a consistent speed. It's an up and down motion just like the swing. If you are playing a consistent beat if you change tempo you start losing points because you miss notes. It's not in time. I'll keep at it. You may not have meant your heartbeat thing literally but I need to dig into that to understand because it's creating a problem for me. You say "2 heartbeats of vibration." I assume you are not having a heart rhythm at high intensity workout levels when you play 2K23 so you are at best 120 bpm, or basically 2 heartbeats=1 second but likely far slower maybe 80-100 bpm which means you are pulling down, holding for more than 1 second then going up? That was what caused my overpowers. I had to stop ANY hold between them to get the results you pressed me for to stop overpowering to 104-106 each time. So if I did the heartbeat thing, I've bring back overpower. So was that just an analogy of "have a process to swing and do it every time" or do you really have this long pause and then somehow make this work and not overpower?

@@thematuresimmer4359 There's going to be some nuances here between what we mean by "backswing" and just "power meter/distance control meter". Turn the power meter/distance control meter on for practice. The game will track two things in the backswing for feedback, it will track that a DOWN input was registered at all. Once the down input is registered, that power meter is going at standard rate. You can slowly inch the stick down or slam it down, the power meter just goes once the own input is registered. So, that's why syncing your "down" is important. The game won't sync it for you. I dunno, so many variables at a play and when I'm just looking at video only so much I can do. A lot of your problems are just very bad habits you formed early on that's going to be hard to break. To me, very early on in your career, I woudl've snussed this 104% power thing out before even thinking I could hang w/ TGC guys. 104% is a problem, that means I'm clearly not doing this right. It's going to be hard to go back in time to teach an old dog new tricks. I just completed the third round. -8 w/ 2 bogeys. I tried to be cognizant of my swing and again I fall back to my "click the housing" method. I can tell my the "click" of the housing the type of tension I'm putting on the backswing. If I get a weak "click" I'm too slow and yadda yadda. When I go for the downswing, I need to hear this crisp CLACK on the housing and I know I got good tempo. I know when I hit a slow cause that CLACK will be weak and timid. Tik-tok-tik-tok. It's hard to get that tempo down. If you just cut out your black swings that means E for the round. In this third round, I had a couple bad grey swings, I definitely had maybe one black swing. Once I hit that black swing, yep, I get mad that I just lost focus and not doing what I have do w/ the club. Now my full focus is my swing cause if I hit another Black swing, I don't know what the hell am doing.

@@thematuresimmer4359 another thign to add, I use to play on Master w/o vibration, ok? I use to look at my golfer for cues when I did this but still I'm consistently a 102%er. Once I turned vibration on, I don't really look at my guy for cues. I mean, I see him but it's about 5% him, 95% feel. I could probably play w/ my eyes closed. Not saying looking at the golfer is incorrect, it helps, but you need to get the FEEL down. I think doing stupid stuff like eye-balling power on chips and putts is hurting more than helping. SOrry to call it stupid but you're only going to get so far w/ that method, bro. Also, in CC-J, guys who shot -7 missed the cut. So, for the love of flipping HECK, STOP THINKING ABOUT THE CARD. It is NOT IMPORTANT. If you just want the exact right conditions (easy course, no water, rest of the field sucks, etc.) to get a tour card... what are we even doing here? Just try to get a handle on the game first before even fantasizing about that stuff. Now, I'm being harsh. Clearly, this round is actually not a disaster by typical standards. We couldve had an E round if it werent for a few swings. And perhaps I'm harsh when you're requesting for birdies. But, c'mon, if next week "pressure" is still getting to you... that's gotta be getting old and tiring, eh? You should be EAGER to play and EAGER to swing that club. CONFIDENCE goes a long way. I feel alot of young, amatuer golfers going for a PGA Tour Card irl... they had to do a lot of hard work before even getting to qualifying. That hard work sets them up for confidence. If an amatuer goes into qualifying feeling uneasy... well, you know, winners tend to win not losers. You need more hard work off video. Of course youre full of anxiety once the swings go bad... you didn't put in the work to not let it go bad. WORK WORK WORK not OH NO OH NO OH NO

Yes I saw we had the same score I think. Clearly this course was far easier for many. It's not looking good for me with the leaderboard so far.

Rounds appear at 5 AM each day. I have all 4 done. No under par rounds (which is very typical for me, these were actually my best rounds in quite some time). So second round will pop tomorrow, 3rd Thursday 4th Friday. I do try the easier touch on the downhills and you should see better results on 4th round or so as I was really focusing on that a lot more.

I think I need to take that to heart. My thoughts have always been hit as far as I can and I think that hurts more than it helps.

Yes I was panicking a bit thinking maybe I can't run the airport at 100% for a bit. My Vegas series is down at 70-80% as that one is nuts on the full schedule. Obviously with one controller much harder.

Yeah, hitting through the trees is a low percentage shot for sure. Gotta play the odds... there are times when you have no choice but to hit through the trees, but those times are rare.

There is that. It still does amaze me how this has stayed so bad, but I do not even know if they've tried to change the driving AI. I suppose I'm OK with that. We learn to watch for it like the bottlenecks on entrance ramps that can happen. It's basically Truck Simulator defensive driving that I need to turn on in my head versus the real world.

Yes I have started to realize that after about a week. I think the golf episodes were OK but I had some flight sim stuff and just worked on getting a power wash simulator episode published and the stream tends to cut before the end on these longer ones so had a flight end 20 miles from the airport and was just finishing this massive skatepark job and did not get the final payment recorded. I think I may just use Twitch for things that will not be used on the channel so basically stream things I'm not recording. I was thinking if I could get folks watching the golf rounds live might be a bit of added fun all around but that seem likely to not happen as timing is random etc.

Yes another TS3 episode if that's what you mean.

It honestly seems like Twitch is almost pointless. Only benefit I think will be to not have to render the video and upload in this series as it's recorded and then I just moved it over and it seem to upload much faster from Twitch, likely because the quality of the video is not as high but clearly it's good enough. I'm starting to see that you might get 5-10 people even for well known Twitch channels as people need to be available to watch live etc. and so lots against it versus UA-cam where people can watch when they want and jump to what they want to see.
