Prospector Build
My first cedar strip canoe. A special thanks to the many folks at www.canoetripping.net/ for all of their guidance and assistance along the way! Having worked with wood for most of my life, on everything from crafts to custom homes, this was one of the most enjoyable projects I've ever done! It may be the first, won't be the last.

Looks like you enjoyed your adventure! Beautiful canoe...did you build it yourselves? Sounds like the weather cooperated with you for the most part. It's always great when you catch a few fish for dinner too! One of my younger daughters and I plan to do that route in early September, we are also from Wisconsin, and I'll use a few clips from the video to show her about the area. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. yes, I built the canoe last summer. First cedar strip, but won't be the last. Starting another one this fall. I'd highly recommend site #56 on Shell. Can easily get there day 1. We didn't go past there. I wanted to, but we didn't.
