13 Indie Horror Gems You Need To Play
My top 3 favourites 1: bendy and the ink machine/dark and the dark revival 2: five nights at Freddy’s 3: backrooms Those are the indie games I love to play the most
please put spoiler warnings in the future.
I absolutely love this game and everything about it, I have both cave story and cave story 3d on the next 3ds xl
i will always support isat propaganda i played it on release and it was so good i wrote a 10 page essay about how much i liked it. it destroyed me <3
Problem with cozy games from a cozy game indie dev who published one. 1. All these game started developing at the same time without researching what each other was doing and now they are all releasing at once, being inspired by the same things. 2. Cozy games have no proper challenge or consequence making them boring after a few hours. I would argue Stardew Valley has plenty of challenge because seasons change, crops get can get destroyed, you can strategize your day, manage your stamina and the list goes on. But games inspired by Stardew Valley took away the wrong lessons. Most cozy games thought it was a good idea to remove the 'game' part of cozy games leaving most of them bland and boring with no real obstacles or goals. Just mindlessness doing fetch quests in a cute environment without purpose or push back.
funny that frapollo has done exactly what they asked for, 2h long video that introduced the game to lots of people
Thank you, bro :D
I was looking for games to buy on switch because i'm a "sorta" collector and I just like to add titles that may peak interest just to have on a shelf to be there and one rainy lazy whatever day I may pull her down and take a swing at them. this game came across the list on sale and I was like welllllll.... idk anything about it lets look! It looked -imo- like an undertale game done more like a classic rpg? which I thought was pretty awesome because while i'm super down for the world and story of undertale/deltarune..... I'm not a fan of them not being traditional rpgs (which I know people would argue that's what makes them great or more unique...but I personally hate because I came for the rpg baby!) but then there came the time loop gimmick to come ruin the game for me again =/ I don't want that, I don't want to deal with that, I shant be doing that. So I skipped it. One day If I find it cheaper I might buy it but for me it's a no go. please someone bring back the mother series so I can play an rpg!
I like this review but diaagree about the game getting boring. I seem to have a lower loop count than the reviews I've seen, but I never felt bored at all. Also, man, there's another time loop game I love, but I'm bad with names so I'll have to look it up. No one, not even this video, mentioned it. 😔
It is called a The Sexy Brutale
Stardew Valley higher than Terraria? I mean it's a pretty boring cozy game, that's it...
Galvanised square steel
no one is palworld like
I still think that Outer Wilds is by far the better game overall, but in terms of specifically being a Time Loop Game, yeah In Stars And Time is currently sitting pretty at the top of the heap.
10:12 NOTE: Sometimes, if you don’t have “Memory of Self” equipped, the game can “skip” loops, causing the loop counter in-game to not accurately reflect the amount of times you actually looped. This is because, in-universe, Siffrin has a terrible memory, causing them to forget stuff, and as the game progresses, his memory gets worse and worse, to the point that he forgets entire loops. there’s dialogue to support this too, at a few points he thinks “(What were you doing last loop?)” and i forgot the exact quote but he says something along the lines of “(You’re even forgetting entire loops now!)” a bit later
i noticed increases up to 4 by me
Fight sisyphus prime in ultrakill bro has made me cry irl and imo is way harder than elden ring(dlc included) brutal difficulty recommended
This game is the closest we'll get to a Re Zero game ever
Played through this game almost completely blind and absolutely loved it. More people need to know about ittt. Such a good game
Ete! Its been out for about 3 months and as someone who owns most of the games you mentioned & a painter irl, I would say its the best. You're a painter that moves to Montréal and you have to paint the world to turn it from white/grey to full color. This allows you to collect paint bubbles to make petals that allow you to paint larger areas at once. As you paint the world you unkock stamps and find pigments that you use to create paintings you sell in a coffee cafe and complete quests with. With the money you make, you buy furniture for your art studio and decorate. The map is pretty large, consisting of 5 or 6 main areas of the city. Absolutely best watercolor painting game! ua-cam.com/video/e5gMuIRTza0/v-deo.html
where do i buy these from anyway?
While my comment wont help much with the algorithm, it probably helps a bit. Here's some help! UA-cam please give this game more sight!
At the end there is mention of the “are video games art” debate And here’s the thing, whatever argument for “video games aren’t art” can be used against other forms of art media that everyone agrees is art Games aren’t art because of a lack of narrative? What narrative does colouring books or activity books have? Games aren’t art because they’re designed for entertainment? The Minions films are designed to entertain Games aren’t art because they’re a hodgepodge of pixels and code? Well digital art is a combination of pixels and code
It may seem crazy what I am about to say
Also I really appreciate just the sheer amount of quality of life features isat has!! From being able to loop to a place you want and being able to choose if you want all the doors to be open as well, to unlocking genuinely useful skills as you go on and the save points registering your friends' highest level and keeping it that way instead of overwriting it.. Just so cool
Yea ... don't we all do that? :|
Where tf is omori
Oh my god you looped it at 22 minutes C'mon man don't do this to me
there will be a steam release of a game called fat goblins, which is the exact same premise from what it looks like, but all the characters are goblins
[ Hey Stardust~ I'm commenting to increase the algorithm! Good luck! ]
this comment genuinely made me smile lmao. thanks for that :]
You already spoiled it for me buddy, might as well tell me the crescendo. :/
Yup
Did you call undertale an RPGmaker game
there's even a bunch of skating/bmx/scooter games made by one guy for mobile. it's in the playstore. it's great, for mobile games.
isat mention
3:22 “Only one game worthy…” Undertale:
I really wanna see more games that have time loops, have their mc slowly descend to insanity Like it's both charming and intriguing
I was joking and said 200 😮
Would you consider The Council similar?
oh, i thought you were gonna show palworld reference sprites
Dooze ex...
Here
I finished In Stars and Time yesterday for the first time, and I couldn't be more glad I played it. It's become my favourite game of all time, no question. The final loop and end had me sobbing for 2 hours straight, man
I also beat it recently, 2 days ago, amazing game with amazing world building and amazing characters
Only issue I have with the game is that I wish I noticed the (not) banana peel sooner, spend half the game waiting through the whole sleepover scene every time I needed to go back in Dormont And I learned to use the knife on myself before finding it, and got disappointed that Siffrin wasn't willing to use it in the village
The mechanics of doing the same things over and over again and of the charming dialogues becoming more and more annoying as they repeat is extremely effective at putting you in Siffrin's shoes, so much that I couldn't put the game down because I desperately wanted to break free 9f the loop as well. Every bit of new content left me craving more: answering questions and bringing up other, bringing my party to lovable companions to annoyances that I still cared about and back to loving them whenever I finally get some new dialogue and events from them... And the looping system is designed in such a way that you only need to repeat small portions at a time, and of course gaining skills and levels means that you're breezing through faster and faster, so while you feel a bit annoyed, it's never annoying enough to make you loose interest Never thought it was possible to make repetitive loops that are intentionally boring engaging, it really immerses you very deeply in what the protagonist is going through
hello? can you pet the dog? can you play as the cat? 10/10
Masterpiece Game indeed. Only recently finished and I have enjoyed pretty much every moment. I hope more people watch this video. More.
How could you make this list without Citizen Sleeper?
Balatro being where it is is INSANE. It is an instant classic
Algorithm BOOST, GO!
I sad I beat palworld did everything feels so empty after
I think the problem is that the category of "cozy" is like the "gluten-free" of gaming
