For those who criticize Paul Simon here: how people can be so mean? You have no heart or what? Paul and Lou were very good friends. Now there is a man, almost in tears, who tries to sing to honor the memory of his friend! Paul Simon played a very good and emotional version of Lou Reed's beautiful song.

Do not look at the video from August Greig below, listen to the original. Self promoting moron. This is a wonderfully sincere and respectful story and performance by Paul Simon. I listen to Lou every Sunday, to ground me. To remember my roots, and bring me back. I suggest everyone do the same.

That folk style guitar playing on this song really sucks and it ruins the song. I know it's hard to play this correctly and sing it at the same timej, and that rits even harder to play on an acoustic, but come on this guy is a professional. I can play this on acoustic guitar solo and all, and in fact there's a video of me doing it as proof. And i had very little time to prepare.

One of my least appreciated tunes from Mavericks but it never got fast forwarded. Each song has a purpose for it's placement on this classic collection. Mavericks is a top ten all-time favorite of mine.

One of my favorite shows of all time. Better than the dBs show in '07 because of the storytelling between songs.
