Weird music. I rather just hear the pins explode
Thats online possible in the USA. In Europe you online have to pay
Sarah worry about foot pointing right. Focus on leg training support body weight on one leg.
CONGRATS ON YOUR visa , How's your headache GOOD STUFF AND YOUR BOWLING ,
What country did you come from? Your voice just sounds southern USA to my michigan ears.
Love your videos.. just a thought from a really old (60).. in the UK…. with very limited experience.. I’m learning to walk straight.. my right foot too ends up same angle as yours.. maybe I will do what I’m about to say.. how about changing angle of your hips very slightly to face a bit more left .. most of all still feel comfortable with your shoulders ending up level with the foul line, which you do nicely.. but stay balanced.. it seems.. when you go for a ten pin.. you are naturally in the right direction for that.. then again maybe I’m wrong.. not being experienced enough.. I’m still learning spares.. You are the best for sure
Maybe think leading with the inside of your health. If you lead with inside of your heal, your toe will point left.
I'm sure you are making headway and I can't coach. Even now when I have friends asking me for tips I don't know how to help them. But I went to a bowling clinic the one with Rash and Tacket this fall they had some great gold level coaches there really helped my game. Perhaps after tax season you can find a gold level coaches to get a second opinion?
Are you trying to slide parallel to your target line?
all of these will stay in place remember these will not change until you change equipment the slide will be the same-the foot work same- spot may change with ball choice be careful not to adjust to much subtle is best you are a good bowler it shows. when i bowled many years ago i would check the humidity in the house i bowled at, this gave me some indication of oil disbursement , also temperature, you have made comments on bowling by counter there is a difference! i didn't get a chance to go pro. but i drilled i measured gave lessons this may sound weird remember do not i repeat do not measure finger holes for that time of month your fingers will be different sizes swelling and so on. I enjoy both you bowling thank you for keeping the sport alive. i wish both of you great success Steve
Exaggerate sliding to the left for a few reps, like really go to the left
remember one correction at a time then go to your spot on lanes keep your posture your release if you move keep your other mechanics same for now. you can't do much for one foot slides can't work do the full approach don't ad lib you will never bowl with one foot slide this will throw you balance off do all of your normal stuff! then make subtle changes plz
So if you start more to the right you will finish more to the left, promise. I struggle with a 3 board drift to the right. So now I force myself to drift left it works.
everyone has their "issues" not saying its a bad issue or anything but if its the same everytime it should be ok 💯
Glad to hear the good news on your visa renewal Sarah! I’ve been away from the game for a long time - but I do love watching your vids and the pba - so as far as footwork….whenever I changed anything, what would work for me is to really over exaggerate (this is because my perception of how it would feel was always much different than how I’m doing it) - so the bag was a great idea - did you try a different camera angle (from the front - maybe place a camera on the right lane or the gutter cap and see if you see something from a front angle? I’m not very good at advice sorry…hope you’re feeling better! Good luck to Eric at the US Open!
YOU ARE SO EAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!
Congratulations on updating your visa!! While I’m unable to provide any coaching on bowling I think if you focus on the amazing soundtrack; Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, etc. you’d increase your pin count by 10 pins easily!! C’Mon America get with it!!
wait so no rotation lane, and variable pattern that isnt listed, that seems like a house pattern for leagues. these formats our why I stopped bowling, the fun is having to figure shit out on the fly..
I was watching one of your practice sessions from a year ago and I noticed your right foot crosses in front of your left foot a lot more. Hope that helps.
Another ball issue, lets see right handers no swap a ball per game...
I will say as a low rev player that 3 step is something everyone should practice, just the swing is tough, it was my go to, on a fresh pair on rotation lanes.. but i use my steps to control my speed without changing my arm swing
footwork grrr this is my biggest frustration... now your still throwing the same wigeht ball in step practice my hips, let alone wrist would be trash.
Ive had these issues with my approach my whole life. Ive spent so nuch time working on other parts of ny bowling, release and accuracy and all that, i havent even gotten to working on straightening my footwork. I think thats next up though
Glad you renewed your visa. Good video. Nice to,see people working to get better.
Have you considered the EM radiation from your microphone might be causing your headaches?
Sorry for pointing out the obvious. You have lost the fun in your game. Relax enjoy yourself stress will only make you more frustrated with yourself and the game. Perfection is an unrealistic goal. Take your time and focus on having fun. You will get better naturally with time and experience. Love your videos by the way 😊
Cool video talk tech bowling Sarah
Hey Sarah, keep your shoulders square to the foul line and your foot will follow. Weight distribution is the key factor to consider. Keep going gurl you'll get it dialed in!
Your right leg is shaking or moving in your approach to make you feel of balance
Oh Sarah! I was so excited to hear you were coming home! Matthew messaged me Monday evening and told me you were practicing and I basically fan girl-ed out at work. So sad I’ve missed you. Congratulations on your 300, and I wish you the best of luck this year. Can’t wait for more content ! Good luck Eric! Good luck CJ!
Think about it if you slide perfectly straight you’ll never clear your hips.
You could always use painters tape.
Sarah most good right hand bowlers end with their slid foot pointing to the right for balance. If you drift in right approach you wouldn’t be able to clear your hips but ending with your slide foot pointing slightly right and under your head is correct. Please look at the best PWBA players you will see that. Please look before you keep beating yourself up.
I’m not a bowling coach but I am a golf coach and being able to pick up what is different is key. What I see is when your push off foot stays on the ground you slide right. If you tried to slide and keep your push off foot elevated I think it would be better.
Congrats on the VISA. Hope the head feels better. Went to check out other players. Not many have their feet facing straight ahead. Even Eric's tend to face the 7 pin. But he is quite a bit inside though. I always tried to square up my shoulders and hips up to my target. Now of course you've accomplished more in bowling that I ever did so, don't know if you want my advice. 🙃
This is the thing about bowling. It’s a lot to do with body mechanics. Sometimes I wonder should I change something, or should I capitalise on it and be good and consistent at it. That’s what the pro does, they capitalise their own body mechanics. No pro is the same as others. At times, our body is shaped differently; wider hip, long femur, how our knees bent (how much inward, etc), that these dictate the overall balance and natural movement. Question is how much is needed to change/tweak or if it needs to be changed at all?
Try pointing the left foot to the left and it should finish straight
Trump the insane orange chump is coming after canada anyways
When you would d0 a short 1 - 3 step approach, things look good. When you go with your full 5 step approach, your 2nd step crosses in front of your left foot causing the rest of your steps trying to catch up.
a lot of people slide right, im not sure its exactly bad. Mark Baker talks about it in a recent video when he's coaching some girls. Mark Baker is goated. Also I know Eric learned a lot from Mark.
thinking anatomically, it makes sense that your foot would slide towards the center of your body (your center of gravity) sense you are balancing on that one foot. I think if you try to totally straighten it out it could lead to some instability. which would be why you struggled to get it straight, because its so unnatural.
if you dont slide towards your center of gravity im not even sure you can maintain balance for more than a second or two
HOWEVER, what you could do is artificially drift left during approach to slide back to where you started.
01/24/25 - daily Sarah fix.
Around bowling so much she's at an alley while there's a bowling alley in her head. Respect! Lol all jokes aside another great video, I'm gonna have to use those step drills myself!
Physics says you will always slide your foot under your center of gravity. Take a wider angle video and see where your balance point is. A millenia ago, we used to kick up our trail leg to alter the body's CG at the line, so I'm sure there's a much better trick nowadays. I would think there is a pro that slides the way you want to, so just compare their CG to yours at the line
Most of the time I notice that my foot turns in the direction of my hips. If my hips are open they point to the right. If my hips are closed then my foot is pointed straight.
hey Sarah, sorry for the unsolicited advice but something that has helped me is not so much thinking about my feet but rather the direction my hips are pointing. Everything seemed to follow through for me after that. I'm a total noob though haha. Either way, great video! You'll figure it out I'm sure!
Hey Sarah, if you are sliding to the right, have you tried adjusting where you start on the approach? hypothetically if you are trying to slide 20 at the foul line, try setting up on 23 or 24 at the beginning this way it will accomodate for the drift...just a thought, hope all is well!!!
this is my favorite channel to watch !! congrats on your visa renewal! ❤
my #1 fan 😌 you’re so silly
Sarah when u going to be on tour with Eric so we can get pba vlogs?
good luck at the U.S. Open this week man!
Have you ever thought of trying a 4 step approach?
I am reluctant to give a pro any advice. However, I learned something a long time ago from the great Don Johnson's book. When sliding think of turning your slide foot to the left (not sliding left but actually turning your ankle left). This keeps the slide online. In addition, it helps in keeping balance and leverage. It certainly helped me. Just a thought.
Don't know about bowling, but starting with Fleetwood Mac has got to be good.
