My dad came home with one like this for $400 in 1976 that he bought as a trade-in from the Ford dealership he was working at. My mom hated it, so he sold it to our friends for $1100. It had only 32,000 miles on it and was like new condition. I was 15 years old when dad let me drive it. I loved that car. 🙏♥️ Less than a year later I bought my first car...a ten year old '67 Rally Sport Camaro with 38,000 miles. It had a 327 and Muncie four speed and I paid $750 for it. I've always wanted an old Volvo ever since.

Despite this post is two years old, I just saw it and many wonderful memories came up to my mind. I had exactly the same model and colors etc but with the unreliable mechanical clock in the center, here in Switzerland. I bought it beginning of the 80ies relatively cheap and added 200 K miles without any major issues and it was still running fine. But then the leather converted more and more into dust and the rust was eating the rear third of the car. So I had to made a hard decision in 97. Sometimes I really regret that I didn't kept it as a restauration project. 😄 But I already have tree wonderful cars and no space for long term projects. Yea one of them is a caddy too, but far away from the quality and comfort of the 79 model. It's a 87 deVille convertible classic Cadillac whatever art model. Very rare, at least here in Europe, but also very crappy 😆

Swap an OM 606 superturbo and it will eat little 450 6.9 for breakfast!!

This is the most thorough examination video of a TR3 that I have ever seen. It shows every important detail of these cars and this car's true condition. Engine number, body tags and VIN show that this is a matching numbers car and has most likely never been hit hard or ever taken apart. Indeed, it is an excellent candidate for complete restoration or even just a mechanical refreshing and enjoy. What happened to this car? Did it stay local? Cheers.

On a good day they will not do 60MPH, looking good though, real good. Where and how much. That piece of rope holding up the idler arm and the old Thrush cherry bomb exhaust are the added cavate.
