July 12 2024: 1963 Buescher Aristocrat
Переглядів 35День тому
Presenting, the 1963 Buescher Aristocrat. Looks a lot like a Bundy, but doesn't play like one. So happens in 1963 Buescher was bought by Selmer....who does Selmer own....Bundy. So this horn has many visual characteristics (shared parts) with Bundy's of that year. After doing a thorough slide service on it, the slide is super smooth and a pleasure to play.

I like that
Very cool!
Sounds like you had pretty similar impressions to what I thought of the Conn 50H with identical bore. These ‘tweener horns are pretty interesting. From the first note I was surprised by how much darker your 78H sounded than a .500” or even a .508” bore. When I had my 50H I used it in two situations that I really liked-principal trombone in a wind ensemble for a jazz number, and small jazz group where I was the only horn. Seems like this one fits a pretty similar bill (probably speaks more easily than the 50H, too).
Hey Bud! Yeah, it's great in Jazz Band. I previously mentioned I use a Shilke 51 on my demo's to get the darkest tone for my phone mic. BUT! it does have a great tone. The 50H is a .525 and part of the "Director" grade. The 78H (.523) feels & sounds different than the King 3B and Bach 36. I find it funny how each Conn I play has a unique "Conn" sound. Know what I mean? And yes, it's super responsive even with a toilet bowl for a mouthpiece.
Nice demo! Well done, sir!
I make errors, I said near the end the Holton is a 1962....it's a 1965 Holton Galaxy.
😮
I love it🤧
Very cool!
that's one of your collection Trombone?
Yes of course.
@@ronzgarage WOW, how many trombones do you collect?
i wish i could collect like that wahahahaha
that's so very beautiful trombone I've ever see and i like thatt🤧
Well done!
I know I kept saying the 28H is a .482 bore.....it's .484 sorry for my rambling and inaccuracies in bore. Hopefully you get he picture. Awesome trombones by conn from the late 1940's to the early 1970's.
Good job. Looks great.
Thanks! I try.
Noice!
It will be cool to see what you wind up doing with this
I'm just as curious as you are!
