This dance is called the "Sasa" its origin comes from the "Sasa" dance from Samoa just like the "Kailao" dance from both Tonga and Uvea originaly came from the Ancient "Ailao" dance from Samoa. The Tongan "Tauolunga" and Wallis & Futuna "Niutao" (Named after a island in Tuvalu) Originates From the Samoan "Taualuga" Dance. The "Mako" dance done by Tonga & Uvea Orginates From Wallis & Futuna. The Tongan "Mauluulu" dance originates from the Samoan "Mauluulu" dance. The "Eke" (Stick or Paddal) Dance From Wallis & Futuna is similar to the "Soke" dance in Tonga however they both share the same Origins. The "Lakalaka" Dance done in the Islands of Fiji Originates from the Tongan "Lakalaka" dance. The Islands of Rotuma in Fiji have a dance called "Mak Sa'moa" its an informal Rotuman dance form derived from Samoan movement styles (Mak Sa'moa meaning "Samoan dance" in Rotuman), including the style of hand movements between man and woman, and the shuffling/twisting of the feet in and out, as in the Siva Samoa. We are all one ❤
