    Little known fact: Max was hired onto the film Nosferatu when the production ran out of money for makeup. Max was already famous for being one of the ugliest guys running around Berlin with pointy little, beaver teeth, and a pair of ears that would later inspire Leonard Nimoy when it came time to play the character Spock.

      Thank you for your comment! While it's true that Austin Butler was homeschooled starting in the seventh grade, he did attend public school prior to that. According to his biography, he was involved in school plays during the time he attended public school before transitioning to homeschooling. I hope this clears up any confusion, and I appreciate your attention to detail!

    Good bio however they got the timeline wrong re: Ariel and Elizabeth's deaths. Ariel died first (1988) and Elizabeth followed her in death 6 years later. Heartbreaking nevertheless.

    • @Pantheon.Knowledge
      @Pantheon.Knowledge Місяць тому

      Good catch. You are correct, Ariel did precede her mother in death. There was an error in the script. What should have been read as, "Elizabeth followed her daughter in death," instead came out as "Her daughter followed her in death in 1988." The date of Ariel's death is correct, but it renders the statement nonsensical as previously we are told of Elizabeth passing later. We at Pantheon appreciate interacting with our viewers, and strive to be as accurate as possible. Do not hesitate to point out our flaws, as we use the comment section to post corrections and updates. Thanks again.

    Did you notice it's true that I never mentioned to Alan Hale Jr. that it's also wrong to drop out of high school. It's even bad to be tranferred to special ED programs. It's even terrible to get arrested and sent to a mental institution. Did you notice that it took courage in my own heart to force Tim Burton to forfeit directing another Batman movie sequel? Thus he's forced to turn down 133 million dollars? Shoul I throw in Brock Davenport, Chris Sefloogue, and Richard Baynard as cameos for the Gilligan's Planet comic book series? These guys found no value in education. Did Chris Sefloogue drop out if high school? I know that Richard Baynard did. Should I also throw in the former Marine Nicholas M. Skinner who treated Halloween a lot like as if it were his favorite holiday? 🤔 😏 😅 😳 😉 😄 🤔

    I remember seeing his comedic tv show in the 80's. He would host a show similar to Elvira where they would show horror movies. He would comment on the film, talk about what was happening around town and order delivery from different local restaurants. The (real) delivery person would show up, give him the food and he would joke with them and then kick them back out of his shack while playfully insulting them. It was a fun show. One day the show wasn't on anymore and everyone was like WTF. It was some years later that I learned what happened. I think that guy could have gone on to do some cool stuff but that sort of crime will follow you forever.

    I've always been a big fan of Chaney Jr., and I've wished that his performances on the screen would've been revered in the same light as some of his contemporaries like Lugosi and Karloff. At the very least, I feel more books should have been written about this great actor. But, it's videos like this that remind me that Lon is far from forgotten & that he carved out a legacy that could rival Karloff, Lugosi, and even his great father. Thanks for making this video....

    Shemp was my favorite of all the Stooges. I also watched the Stooges when I was a kid. At that time you would see a cartoon, the Stooges, a newsreel and coming attractions and than the movie. Sometime they would show a "serial" with a cliffhanger ending and would be continued the next week. BTW it only cost a thin dime, and usually there was a double feature. O the good ole days--are gone forever!!!!
