miller from repo man explains where all the missing people are in the world
THE LATTICE IS REAL, PEOPLE
OBRA MAESTRA
the spelling here of "wierdness" is, eh, pretty... WIERD!
my ex used to talk about how every day i drove under the lobotomy bridge on my way to work so i stopped
“You don’t even know how to drive!” “I don’t wanna know how, I don’t wanna learn see!” “The more you drive, the less intelligent you are.”
saw this in the theater when it first came out. it was just my brother and me and it was gone within the week.
Southern Pacific Taylor yard.......(gone)
This film should be played every night at 9pm until everyone realises how it should be a part of their lives. It's timeless too
Hear, hear!!
Dudes really out here talking about the noosphere.
Loved this movie as a kid. Was bummed when the kid got whacked though, that sucked.
It's a scene I have remembered for 40+ years, I was just quoting it and looked it up to refresh my memory.
Just enough truth in this movie to make it great.
So I'm watching this scene and my little brother comes in and tells me "I got the bus from school today", straight after that Miller says "I do most of my thinking on the bus" Plate of shrimp man
The SubGenius must have slack!
Dioretix, the science of matter over mind.
RECUERDO QUE TENIA 13 AÑITOS ,MIRE COMO FILMABAN ESA PELICULA EN GUAYMAS SONORA CONOCI A LIZA MINNELLI , BURT REYNOLDS, GENE HACMAN, Y EMILIO (INDIO ) FERNANDEZ SE TRATABA DE CONTRABANDO DE VINO Y LICOR ,SALUDOS DESDE TIJUANA BC
Suppose you're thinking a out uh... Plate of shrimp
A classic scene from a classic film
Love this movie as a kid!
Dioretix: The Science of Matter over Mind
the Repo code....
the life of a Repo man is always intense
I finally understand.
Anybody know What they are burning in this scene, looks like clothing and a hat... ? Does it tie in
It would be great if I could f**kin watch the full movie for free
Diaretics is of course a parody of Dianetics, the bible of Scientology. If Scientology is destroyed in my lifetime I will throw a party as L. Ron Hubbard's body is flushed down a toilet.
Plate o' shrimp!
It's all so clear to me now.
FSOL
Fuckin Rodriguez brothers...Dildos
I love Miller because I AM Miller!
Hugh K. Ayers That was Tracy Walter, numbnuts. Let's see you burn some rags and prove it!
I bet ol travolta and cruise cried when they see this clip
LMAO! This scene is better than the entirety of their whole career.
That was a l ron hubbard book that otto threw into the flames
It was actually a parody of his first book Dianetics called "Dioretix" as in like the diuretics that you put up your ass.
Mike Haggar yes
Mike Haggar Suppositories...you might as well shove ‘em up yo ass for all the good they’ll do.
shrimp
It's cute when Hollywood tries to get all profound during its shit hack work.
There is nothing "Hollywood" about that film. Alex Cox has always worked outside of Hollywood, and I seriously doubt that anyone can accuse Mike Nesmith of being "Hollywood" either.
II also love the way Otto just walks away at the end. No comment.... just walks.....
So good a film I named my band after it...repomen.bandcamp.com
Ted kaczynski would say...
a movie to live your life by.
"How the fuck do I know?"
You repo men, man, you're all out to fucking lunch.
A couple people asked: They are burning the junk they find in the cars they repo.
People are much like the flaming barrel of shit being stoked by an intelligent being who doesn't drive! Though, at the end o the day, we all must sleep...
Did you eat a lot of acid Miller ? Back in the hippy days ?
I ate shrimp after seeing this movie, I was planning to anyway....must be the cosmos telling me something.
I suppose, in a way, that would work but not in the way you think it would. Most american adults have a pretty limited imagination and similar, banal desires so they can only think of X things to begin with. And when you're thinking about something a lot, you're going to notice it the next time you encounter it. Whether they were thinking about it or not, it was going to appear in their life eventually.
True that. If we ever travel to other stars it will probably be because of the work of Mexican scientist, Miguel Alcubierre.
Most quotable movie ever and nobody's ever seen it. I suppose that's a good thing. It would piss me off if people went around quoting it like it was Office Space.
synthstatic This movie and Caddyshack.
I believe you have my stapler?
They think I come to kill em; and I would.
Its true you know. The universe is far stranger than any fiction. I know this to be true in cold hard fact. Otto is transcendent in his understanding of lifes vague.interconnections.
