How do you ensure that the joined seam is in the correct place? If joining two width of fabric I assume ideally is should be at the beginning or end of the pleat?

Really enjoyed your tutorial, it has given me the confidence to start making my own curtains. My late mother made many of the curtains for the family home and for a local curtain boutique, skills I always admired, she loved pinch pleating and we certainly had the most elegant curtains in the neighbourhood. I'm not entirely sure she imagined her eldest son would want to do this, but it will certainly give me the joy of remembering the wonderful lady she was as I sew.

I may have missed something but I don't understand how the machined velcro stitching is not visible on the front of the blind, since it appears that you sewed through from back to front? I would have thought that the bobbin thread will be visible... Everything else made perfect sense to me, so much respect and gratitude.
