Igor Krutoy composed this for Olympic inspiration and to be sung by Dimash in European games. Their collaboration have produced some awesome pieces. I hope they work together again. Right now Dimash is off...exploring his voice, the world and himself. I suspect he will come back around to his classical roots. However his journey is Interesting as well. The rolling r is part of the Kazakh language as well as the Italian language. This song was composed especially for Dimash‘s voice by Igor Krutoy. Dimash premiered the song at the opening ceremony of the European Games in Minsk 2019. It was meant to encourage the athletes for the upcoming competitions. The lyrics contribute to that as well.

This was a great reaction as always. This is a brilliant track that they’ve made. I’ve admired Knox’s lyrical ability for a while, but I think this track is the best he’s made. Possibly because of how deeply personal it was & the emotion he conveyed. Every time I listen to it I find more. The story-telling’s so good & the orchestration/production lifted it to another level. I Loved how he began with the ostracism of conscious rap in the 90’s & the music industry pushing the less substantial more aggressive 1-dimensional gang/drug/violent/jewellery & materialism narrative dumbing it down for the public, “hollow point dependent” hollow-points being “dumb-dumb” rounds & rappers being therefore dependent upon only producing that style of rap if they want to succeed. They carried the addiction narrative throughout the song so well from beginning to end; even the orchestration & Ren’s dynamics mirrored an addict getting high & coming down; so clever. The shout-outs to A Tribe called Quest, De La Soul & Juice Wrld were so well placed so as not to interfere with the structure & narrative. From a musical perspective this was masterful. Congratulations to both Ren, Knox & Reuben. They outdid themselves. It’s always a pleasure to watch your reactions. See you next time. Much love. xx

Such a heavy track from these two. When i first heard they were dropping a collab I thought they would drop a couple of verses each, but Ren allowing Knox the space to tell his story his own way shows so much respect between them. I'm sure we'll see more collaborations between the two of them.
