Where should the lever sit on the part where the lever is either in the yellow color or to the right or to the left, if it is working properly
The output meter (lever) will swap between forward and reverse polarity. The meter should be set at the chlorine output that you require. For this time of year that is usually 80-100%. The chlorinator will produce chlorine in both forward and reverse polarities. When the system is off, the meter will revert back to the centre which means no chlorine production.
Do you have a video on reading the meter and operating the control knob?. I find the manual instructions confusing.

We had a separate timer which turned on the chlorinator and the pump, however it's no longer working. If we use a chlorinator like this with a built-in timer, what turns the pool pump on? A second timer?

'thanks for the video, we have checked all the boxes but our timer doesnt keep time, if we set it at 2pm by 6pm its only displaying 3pm, very confusing. We are constantly manually switching our pool on and off, any ideas.?
The device is confusing and the clock seems to run backwards so you have to think differently! But thanks for the good video!
