Hi! So I noticed that you keep you ferrets near your mice I currently keep 3 rats but also hope to have ferrets they would be in the same room and it’s a relatively small room the rats would only be able to smell them and not see them and the ferrets same.

We have a pet stroller and our ferrets go yo the fair, the mall, camping, vacations, etc We have harness and leashes so when they have to potty we attach the leash and set them in the grass and they do their thing. We litter trained them with a barrier so they have most of the house, so we don't have a cage (there's a walk in closet we made up for rare occasions that we do need to contain them). I have a theme going with the names: Attila, Genghis, Mehmed and Boudicca (my brave little warriors)

Please try and get your ferret a playmate. He will live longer with the added mental and physical stimulation. Ferrets are wonderful.

Adorable mice but if u own more in the future I definitely recommend upgrading the cage it’s way too small to house mice in I’d recommend at least a 40 gallon if ur interested in using a tank or a bin cage works too as long as its large enough which I believe is must be least 450 sq inches :)

I was walking my ferret last week one night, and his leash extender came loose, and where's my ferret? There he was in the middle of the street, transfixed by a manhole cover. Incredibly, 2 cars ran over him and he never knew it, I saw a 3rd car coming, tried to wave the driver down, but he wouldn't stop and he drove over my ferret for a 3rd time. I call him Lucky and he sure lived up to his name that night. I should rename him 3 Miracles! That manhole cover saved his life. He can spot a manhole cover a half block away and has to investigate it.

So cute! I believe that’s the rat manor from petco the cage you have. That’s good you are looking for another one since male rats tend to be bigger the girls. Rats in general pee all over everything and anything so that was normal for Walter to do so my girls would do that to me and on occasion they would do so too one another 🐀🐁
