Well, Gensokyo is supposedly "the land of the forgotten" and is said to contain everything that's fallen out of style, no matter how modern, so a Blockbuster turning up in the Eastern Wonderland isn't too much of a stretch. Now if only a Radio Shack and a Montgomery Ward would open up next to it. :D

sakuya is *Spanish (puertorican) and patchouli is Korean because they are foreigners. They came with the SDM, which is clearly European, so it would make sense they don't speak Japanese very well (and what we hear as English is actually supposed to be Japanese). I made patchouli Korean because it is suggested that patchouli is still some flavor of Asian, and I just happen to speak Korean, and since Korea is right across the river from Japan, why not? And Sakuya I made Spanish because you know what has very similar flight characteristics to a knife? A chancla 🩴. And you know what kind of women have reputation for being very... temperamental, like Sakuya is often depicted? Spanish women! So it made a lot of sense sense for her to be one too, and I specifically made her puertorican because I am puertorican, so it was the obvious choice. And Marisa is certainly NOT British. I think you're just hearing things.

@@Liting06 that was a really stupid joke, dude. A lot of people have asked me that same question, and I take great pride in my medium. I don't use the yukkuri voice because EVERYBODY uses it. It's low effort and it gets really old pretty fast. I didn't want that.
