GoPro 10 Years Later.. Father and Son NO Tandem :)
In 2014 @GoPro published our video of myself and my son on our tandem setup: Father and Son Tandem Bike Ride - ua-cam.com/video/2EJB3qQeRqk/v-deo.html . Over 10 years later, we went back and re-created some of our shots, showcasing the evolution of my son on his bike the whole time using @GoPro cameras to capture those amazing memories together, We also added shots taken from the 4 versions of GoPro Cameras we have owned to show how it all evolved over the last 10 Years. It was a lot of fun to make and look we forward to even more memories to come.

Check this one off the list.... First know ascent leaving Powell Lake and Returning to Powell Lake. This was an overnight trip as we attempted to do this trip in one day in 2021 and were unsuccessful (18 hour day). Lots of bush whacking, devils club and elevation gains and losses to make it to the base of the mountain. We got clouded in on the summit day, but I managed to get some nice drone sh...

A short edit of our first hike up to Mt.Diadem. This hike had it all... Mountain Goats, sketchy old rope in place to gain the ridge, technical scramble to the summit, awesome sunset and sunrise, great overnight spot, stellar views, mystery pipe from Diadem Lake, and a Black Bear observed from long range.

    Awesome video guys! This is very inspiring! I'm amazed your video isn't more popular as this is very well documented. My friend told me about Beartooth recently and has got me interested in trying to climb it. Plus I'm pretty sure they're logging up the road you walked now, so it would in theory be easier now.

    • @Mattmc1976
      @Mattmc1976 2 роки тому

      Thanks, it was a great trip. The road is way better to get to the trail head now from Powell Lake (boat access only), if you tried to access by road from the south, it is not very good access anymore. Not too worried that the video hasn't had many views as it keeps the traffic up there pretty low!

    My Dad and his friends built a ski cabin on Mt Diadem. They brought the wood etc up and it was a very nice cabin. I was young and he brought me up for some skiing, all I remember is snow, you could not drive up you had to leave your cars and trek up a hundred miles (OK felt like a hundred miles to me). But when you got there you had a nice cabin, wood stove, and a motorized line you would grab onto to take you to the top and ski down (repeat). Eventually, as has to happen, some idiots came up to party and (I hope accidently) burned it down

    • @Mattmc1976
      @Mattmc1976 2 роки тому

      Yes the Diadem Ski club was actually located on what we call E Branch now and not on or near Mt.Diadem. If you search for it you can still see the post of the old rope tow and the remains of the old car chassis they used to power the rope tow. There is a cabin there now which has been there for quite a while and kept up by volunteers in the KWRA (Knucklehead Winter Recreation Association. Not too sure why they named it Mt.Diadem ski club.

    How did u do that? I have disability and dreamed of flying a drone from my balcony in westview PR. I saved for yrs to buy a mavick. BUT it won't fly from here because westview is considered too close to airport. Even tho it couldn't fly high enough to interfere with a plane. SO basically i have expensive paper weight 😟 Frustrated flyer...please help.
