Alan Myers I play in this band just a question how come you didn’t put the hyms in

A rousing performance of a great march . . . but - as nearly ALWAYS with brass bands playing marches - WAY too fast! According to my metronome, this piece is being played at 120 BPM; but what is the marching pace of an Army band playing a march whilst marching? Look at the band of the Coldstream Guards, marching down the Mall for the Trooping of the Colour: 103 bpm! ua-cam.com/video/9igG4XWwM30/v-deo.html @2ndcornets, @Alan O'Donovan; as you both state that 120 BPM is the right speed, perhaps you'd like to upload a video of yourselves playing a march at that speed whilst you're actually MARCHING, and not just sitting in a chair? Or, then again - perhaps you wouldn't . . .

Hi Alan , I just saw a video of you playing the piano, wanted to comment but comments are turned off, you wouldn’t recognise me now if you was to pass me in the street, it’s Michelle, as in Steve and Michelle, I am now singing myself and fostering dogs, have 3 dogs myself , and 1 rescue Ragdoll, we stopped breeding the cats years ago, hope you are well , would love to come and see you, I am driving now, Steve developed Mantle cell lymphoma in 2014, life can be very cruel , have 2 beautiful granddaughters now xxxx❤️🌺❤️🌸

This was played on the last concert my grandmother ever saw me play in. I miss her so, but hearing it, and this performance in particularly, brings her back. Thank you to Mr. Culross, and the FG Band as well. tears.

Yeah, fast, but the tuning and ensemble are good; euphoniums and tubas very nifty playing; this tune used to be a stalwart (along with Slaidburn and The Chieftain) on the many carnival road parades we used to have in Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester up until the mid-80's....
