I totally forgot that Quesac whatever was actually a piece of shit. I get the feeling that it is something Shad likes as a thing, because he is depicted as Funny And Cool despite branding his sexual conquests.

Also the whole "Isn't living a punishment enough!?" seems like a weird understanding on the "Live and atone" thing that shows up in anime a lot. The difference is that you're supposed to live and CHANGE to become better, not basically just be a whinier version of your evil self. Either that, or he misunderstood the line "Living this long was a punishment anyways!" from Victory Gundam, where the character saying that is rationalizing his decision to stay on board his carrier as it attempted a suicide charge at the enemy fleet.

Queseg sucks because his entire joke is that he's too stupid to understand that someone who is freaking out over him being a one-note sex joke doesn't like that he's being a note-note sex joke.

I feel like "character forgiven for everything" is wish fulfillment that I see for both men and women tbh, you see plenty of fiction written by women for women with female protagonists where women or at least the female protagonist is let off the hook for everything all the time.

I wish I could draw like that. I can't write for novels, only for visual media. I have a very talented artist but he's still only one person. Excellent art.

I'm surprised I'm barely finding out about this. I really loved his older content on historical armor, weapons, tools, etc, his videos on covering how practical fictional weapons are like Thanos' double bladed one handed sword, or his videos on self defense. I been off his channel for so long and find out he supports straight up plagiarism and shamelessly tries to talk down to people with his inflated ego over a lack of skill is just insane.

It is very noticeably and pushing uncomfortably into fetish territory in several chapters, I've found myself just urging the story to just skip some of that slop. Its not terrible or horrific to me. I just see it the same as any other smut in any other book with regular drawn out sex scenes. However I don't see the Ahegao face when it is described. I see the stereotypical face thats shown in media of an animal (Or in many cases a monster with animalistic traits) with its head cut off, or possibly a person. But more likely an animal/monster because they often times have longer tongues to emphasize the expression. So its eyes wide open, tongue off to the side similar to that of a toothless dog. It is a sign of death, an in this case probably a sign of defeat, not a sign of pleasure. I assume the intention is they view themselves as animals with a need for dominance. This is their way satisfying both lust and instinctual need to overpower someone to prove strength and dominance. Over all, I am going through the audiobook, I know the characters from previously keep an eye on Fennah's animations.

I think our ideas haven’t changed too much from the old time even though the modern society has already become very different from when those tropes were created. I could read a sci fi set 1000 years from now, and in the story the parents of every single kid would still fit perfectly into the gender role dynamic like it was set in the 60s. But in reality, family dynamics are already 10 times more diverse and complicated. It’s like we are still writing from ideas, but not observed reality or our own imagination.

My fantasy wish fulfillment is making a Veronica a hot model that still gets work in her forties. It’s not like I have that.
