Friedrich Burgmüller - Petite Reúnion (Children's Party)
When checking out Burgmüller for the last video I also found this piece that was a lot of fun to play, centering around playing lots of double thirds in both staccato and legato. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And if you're observant - yes, I extended the ending slightly from what's in the sheet music. It just felt right! =D

After my previous keyboard completely broke down I've finally gotten my hands on a new one. To celebrate I'm playing Innocence by Burgmüller. A nice little playful piece that's fun to play. JS Bach - Well Tempered Clavier 1 - Prelude 1 in C major

This was the first piece I learned by Bach and I still had it mostly memorized. I've usually heard it played a bit more slowly, but my sheet music recommended this tempo so I gave it a shot. Håll Huvet Kallt (Keep a Cool Head) - Main Theme

This is the main theme from Håll Huvet Kallt (Keep a Cool Head), which is a Swedish Christmas calendar from 1994. I remember watching this as a kid and getting confused by where the show takes place. The town is called Lysekil, but kil sounds a lot like Chile. So I actually thought it took place in South America, but that it looked surprisingly Swedish. One of the most instantly recognizable Chopin preludes. It consists almost solely of big chords where the top notes form a beautiful and sorrowful melody. I've never uploaded when I've played a classical piece before, so I'm a bit nervous about it. This is my piano arrangement of the Sorceress Town Theme from the first Heroes of Might and Magic. I have to admit that I've never played the first game myself, but I love so much of the music Paul Romero created for the HoMM, and this one instantly became one of my favourites while listening through all his work for the series. Super Hang-On was, together with Sonic 2, my very first video game. @@noamb07 It’s an M-Audio Oxygen 88. It recently broke down though, so I have switched to an Arturia Keylab 88 MkII now.

@@JamesPetts Yes it is! 😄 The Korg Triton is a 90’s synthesizer so it has that to save/load presets and stuff.

Excellent. My favorite theme from Heroes 1. I'd let this play when i was 12 and just bask in the Glory of Paul Anthony Romero.
Oh that's so wonderful to hear! It's my favourite from Heroes 1 too. When you can just kick back and enjoy hanging around in your town and immerse yourself in the scenery and the soundtrack, you know it's a true gem. ☺

@@kimballhansen2629 So far this is the only one, but I would love to do more. :) My keyboard broke down and I’ve just gotten a new one, so I’m eager to record more stuff soon. Do you have any more favourites from Heroes 1?
@@zegerb I think the Knight or Warlock are my second favorite ones. There's not very many selections since the terrain music is just sound bytes and not music like Heroes 2 and 3 did. Oh I like the battle music. Those are good.
@@kimballhansen2629 Oh both those town themes are great! Among the battle themes I the second one is my favourite. I'd love to learn one of them and upload. =)
Great rendition of this underappreciated theme and very well played!! The HoMM I themes can sound a bit rough/old in-game, but the melodies are amazing as you showed here :)

I love heroes 1..and it doesnt get the love the other ones get but there is alot of charm there And the music is definitely top notch.

A wonderful game, only matched by HOMM 6 in my opinion.
Oh that’s really interesting to hear! A lot of what I’ve read on Reddit and such have been people saying that HoMM 1 wasn’t as refined as 2 and 3, while 6 deviated too much from the older titles. I’m definitely interested to try them both! ☺️
@@zegerb 6 is unplayable because Ubisoft shut down the servers for it. Real shame, because before it broke, game was pretty awesome.
@@ryaku5That's awful. It's one thing to shut down multiplayer servers, but for a single player campagin to be unplayable because of dropped support is really bad. :/

Though I haven't recorded other tracks from this soundtrack, reading comments like yours makes me want to do videos again. The entire soundtrack is amazing! Some of the tracks are quite difficult to arrange for solo playing though.
Gotta appreciate what difference the harpsichord makes in the original. This sounds so less agressive.
